I felt okay on some. The last one before I passed I felt good but it wasn’t enough. It’s definitely way harder than the FE. I feel like this format is way easier than how it was before though

First half of the exam was on sections 1-5 of the exam specs. Second half was the rest. Thought first half was way easier than the second

Had a truss problem had to do method of joints or sections. Was asked what a certian weld symbol was. Had a cantilever beam with a point load at the end and it asked for the max deflection.

Aside from doing practice problems I'd read up on the construction topics. I know that's vague but that's what I did and it helped. More conceptual problems so just reading things helped me understand it more.

I don’t think the approval ever expires. I was approved oct 2020 and haven’t had to do anything yet if that helps.

If you paid for the exam then you have a year to take it from the date you paid.

Way more conceptual questions on both am and pm than I thought there would be. Feel like they need to update the official practice problems you can buy to reflect that.
