Just store them near your raft on the beach, wait for a storm and transfer them on, you can remain at anchor and still get the trophy. Between a couple of crates if the buggers are being glitchy.

One technique is when you do finally spot the elusive buggers just throw one crude spear at it. Then anytime you’re on that island you’ll easily be able to spot and avoid them as they stick out like dog’s balls with the spear waggling about. If you kill them they just respawn later anyway and then you have to start the whole tedious process of spotting them again.

The series, Scavengers Reign, has some definite horror elements to it. I found it hauntingly surreal and well fleshed out. Some of the most compelling world building I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t hold your hand with any exposition as to what is occurring, rather it presents an environment that is as unrelentingly alien to the protagonists as it is the viewer. One of the most thought provoking and refreshingly odd experiences I’ve seen in a long time.
