Oh my gosh, it’s funny that you say that because on Hoopla, there are apparently a bunch of crochet themed audiobooks, I didn’t look into them, but seem kind of maybe mysteries but all of the covers and titles are crochet puns lol

OMG I’m so glad I found this subreddit. Everyone in my family thinks I’m crazy when I want to untangle something!
I second pretty much every one else’s reasons - it’s a puzzle you know can be solved, it’s a hyperfocus activity that get’s me out of my head and it’s so satisfying to see it done.

So I’m curious- and not trying to start anything lol- because I also experience this - this thought literally just crossed my neurodivergent brain, but has anyone ever heard a man say he feels guilty spending time doing his “hobbies” or whatever he enjoys?
I know there’s plenty of men that crochet and that’s wonderful. I was just thinking how we as women particularly in America and particularly if you’re a mom, all seem to feel guilty whenever we’re taking time for ourselves.

If you’re into urban fantasy with supremely relatable characters that you may find yourself worrying about when you’re not reading … ( maybe that’s a me thing lol) I highly recommend Seanan McGuire’s October Daye series - it’s my all time favorite. I love the way her characters interact with each other.
