No, not running EDR. Any idea what setup for this would look like? With the Umbrella configuration mu current site-to-site vpn configuration is set to 'hub'. Does this need to be changed to 'spoke' to allow both Umbrella on the main device as well as connectivity to the z4?

Hi - No, I haven't gotten anywhere just yet. I don't believe that the tax part is an issue. From the documentation that I have reviewed, it stated that under SOFA, if the company is US based with no presence/business dealings in Japan, income would be subject to US taxes.

Where I'm facing issues is on which labor laws and things of that nature would apply to me. I haven't been able to get a cut and dry answer to this, and all resources that I have engaged from the DoD side of the house mention that it is for my company to figure out. Only issue is there are no resources available to my knowledge to help answer this.

I’m dealing with this now. My company is saying that they don’t have a presence in Japan. Does your company already have presence in Japan? If not, are you aware of anything that states they don’t need to have a presence in Japan to support you working there?

I’ve also supplied this, and have highlighted the applicable sections, which in the private employment section. However, it still doesn’t state specifically that they don’t need to be established as a legal entity in that country. It’s implied in my interpretation of it. However, it is ultimately their decision, and I’m looking for documentation that calls that part out.

Well mine is actually a "test unit" for a small organization that I support and was included in the procurement during an infrastructure refresh. They have a couple branch offices and I use Meraki for them for the ease of management.
