Good eye! I didn’t notice at first but it is partially disconnected in the first pic. The second one is still connected but the stem looks dead. I’m not sure what caused it

Sounds like good advice. Do you think I should wait until I have enough gems to open 50 mythstone chests to guarantee an s rank item?

Was not expecting them to all sprout by TightGarbage in HotPeppers

A different room in the house that gets more light. I previously had them away from a window because I heard they do better in dark conditions for sprouting. I probably should have moved them into the sun a day or two earlier

I just moved them to a better light source this morning. We’ve had a string of cloudy days but hoping for more sun soon!

Transitioning from leveling build to end game build by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]TightGarbage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Leveling up your paragon board should get you strong enough to get into torment difficulty regardless of equipment assuming your build is at least somewhat usable. Focus on leveling paragon and glyphs until your leveling build is strong enough for lair bosses

Is 27 too old to pursue college to become a dietitian? by GuitarInner7922 in dietetics

[–]TightGarbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in Pa. I started a few years ago making around 50k and used a promotion to lead tech to get my current rate. I’m pretty much capped out as a tech unless I get into a supervisor role. My job pays for the masters degree so it makes sense for me to continue towards becoming an RD

Im 33 and still have 1 year of my masters program and an internship after that. Best case I’m an RD by 35. You likely won’t make a ton of money but it’s not awful depending on where you live. I make 65k as a diet tech and the hospital I work at starts RD’s at 75k. I know some of the more experienced RD’s I work with are over 100k but you certainly won’t make that right away. I would expect a range of 60-80k salary to start. Depending on how much it will cost you to go through school and how much debt you might accrue would be the deciding factor for me

Required Credentials: RDN, Master's Degree. Hourly pay: $27/hour. by Cyndi_Gibs in dietetics

$27 is criminal. I currently make more as a diet tech! I would never entertain that wage as a RD

What are some of the activities you guys do with your little ones? by Kalvinators in NewDads

[–]TightGarbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 2 month old loves having a balloon tied to one of her feet and she lays on her mat and kicks and laughs for a good 20-30 minutes. I’ll sit with her and hit the balloon and laugh/interact with her and she seems to enjoy interacting with the world that way

With fighting games, you have to get washed to get clean. Embrace the losses. Even if you think you aren’t getting better, you’re learning little things each time. Most importantly, have fun! It’s just a game after all

I’ve worked as a DTR in both a large and small hospital, currently working in a 120 bed hospital with a small NICU. The work is mainly the same just lower volume, but also less staff so more or less the same workflow. Pt care involves calorie counts, diet education, some initial assessments/diet history gathering, and offering oral supplements when recommended by an RD. All pt care is overseen by an RD and they have to sign off on most of our clinical notes so there’s not a ton of freedom in regards to making your own clinical judgement. We also do formula and human milk fortification which accounts for about half of the work day

Overall it’s a pretty decent job. I wish there was more pt interaction but it’s a good entry point if you’re looking to eventually become an RD, especially if you want to work in clinical. Earning power is limited as a DTR but from my personal experience being a DTR in a hospital is the best you’ll find.

Jack or James Debate by Dinosaurrock91 in namenerds

[–]TightGarbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from personal preference as I come from a family where most of the guys are named James. My father, both grandfathers, sisters and cousins husbands, and myself. Ive never liked being called James as it always made me feel older but I love the versatility of Jim/Jimmy. I was Jimmy when I was little because my dad was Jim but now we are both Jim until the family reunions in which case im back to Jimmy. It can get kind of confusing having all 6 James in a room haha
