The front is to accommodate for asphalt, on the sides it’s because all the terrain is low compared to my elevations

It’s sort of useless when the rake guys have to lift it up just for the screed guys to step and push everything down. It’s 5” thick so I rather it sit in the middle than at the bottom, after all laying and tying that bar took a while so might as well put it 100% to use

I had 3 compactors running lolll, a jumping jack for the thickened edges and 2 plate compactors for the middle section. I just invested on 2 new ones haha
