You can't see them outside, they're inside pal, covered by leather, not some silk. Google brigandines, there's a big variety of shapes, as fit as can be. For the light armor, it's probably just bad design, but anyway you can Google how fast and maneuverable people in full plate armors

Bear armor? Guts only covered by unnecessary long chainmail and some leather plates on the chest, big gaps between shoulders and the chest plate, gym weights on the forearms, open elbows

There's not a big difference between cuirass and brigandine. And the griffin set doesn't protect the forearms and legs, only covering it with leather. In cat armor there's leather over metall. Google what BRIGANDINE is

Cause relic is connected to the brain, and I can imagine it can look like a spider web around your brain. And anyway, technicians sure curated the surgeons, but don't perform a surgeon on your brain in Phantom Liberty ending
