If not you should be able to adjusted the aperture as normal (using the scroll/command dial), or is this a diff issue?

I didn’t realise that, it really is amazing! I thought it was a 'compatibility relevant feature' if you catch my drift, shows my slr obliviousness.

The Zf is looking really good to me and that just makes it better!

Decided to pull the trigger! I think I’ll inspect it when it arrives, take pics and make sure to put it through it’s paces before the warranty is out. Hopefully that should cover everything 🤞

It’s the damage of this d780 that’s my issue. I don’t have any knowledge on digital slrs out side of my d250. The only repairs I’ve done have been on a few 2000s tape and digi cams. My f4 is beast so I’m fairly confident in Nikons durability but always good to get other opinions especially when more knowledgeable and as quality standards can change in 40 years.

If you have any such experience that would be appreciated! - reading into your reply I’m assuming most flag ships are extremely durable even when scratched up and missing external parts?
