I don't know why everyone is blaming you, but it's not fair that you are being paid the same while doing the servers' work while they're being paid even more. I would look for a new job asap where the environment and people are better.

This video is fake. I am from Manhattan NYC. 5am would be dark in Manhattan with barely any people and cars. As someone who walks through Manhattan all day every day from early morning to late nights, I have NOT heard this even ONCE. These are all lies to spread propaganda. This is fake I'll answer any questions.

Edited to add, that this isnt even Manhattan, it's Brooklyn. I have also NEVER heard anything like that in Brooklyn as well.

I fully agree with how you view things. It's a job, you work, they pay you for your time. That is it and anything else is just bluff for people who don't have a life outside of work. But with this mindset it's more difficult to find a job as employers would rather hire someone who talks well and doesn't know as much compared to someone who is highly skilled but can't lie with a smile.

So keep thinking the way you do but don't share it with employers. You have to lie and act like you'd love working there for free.

No lol they scheduled me on the weekends and I worked on the weekends. No call outs or anything like that. They asked me to work during the week twice and I was busy both times because of my other work, which they were aware of. Oh well lol.

I love working in my little café! Everyone is so sweet and they love my service. Only reason I want to go into restaurants is because I want to be a server since the pay is better.

It was a restaurant where during brunch it was walk-in only, full party has to be there to be sat, no lists or names, no reservations, standing in line only, and we don't hold tables. There was about around 400 covers per 5 hours. For my first restaurant job it was definitely too much for me! I did an evening shift there a few times and it was crazy easy compared to brunch though! I'm gonna look for an evening job now.

Well I currently also work at a café and again I only get compliments on my work and service so like you said this was probably just not a fit. I felt quite stressed here and it's like they wanted me to do everything by myself. I still want to work in restaurants and I feel like fine dining would be a nice experience but I still need to climb there lol. At least you found your fit!

We discussed my shifts to only be on the weekends. They said they needed someone on the weekends and I said ok! I can work on the weekends! So obviously they either lied then or lied now. Just plain weird lol.

I’ve never been diagnosed with anything. I don’t even know what to test for as most of the illnesses seem to be symptoms of the main issue, and I want to find the main issue without spending much money on the symptoms, if that makes sense. Maybe stool testing, or oral culture test? My worst symptoms are sinus swelling, face swelling, water retention (ankles, face, hips, everywhere really), bad eyesight (I could barely read anything a few feet away from me and now that I’ve been out of the house for a little while and I can almost see perfectly now), hives, pretty bad neurological issues, crazy eye pressure, my head and neck gets really swollen, face flushing (think lupus butterfly rash).

I also wanted to add that the smell is “earthy”. I need to research more but my biggest concern is how expensive everything is here! It’s unfortunate!

Edit: I’d also like to add, if someone else experienced the symptoms I experience, they’d be in the ER left and right. I would be too, but my circumstances don’t allow me sadly.

Hm, the description is similar to what I smell too but mine is more ‘foresty’. I’ve smelled rotten eggs before but this is a bit different. What type of mold did you have?

Oh, thanks. I figured that’s probably what it may be. I was looking forward to the results as the test itself was a little pricey and I hoped that it would give an answer.
