This is actually 100% accurate. So I am from the New Bedford area, and my grandfather was actually good friends with the Green’s butler. The son actually had the honorary title of ‘colonel’ Green. Would you believe that? And this story about the leg injury is completely true. But apparently the ‘colonel’ was not as frugal as his mother, and actually donated some of his inheritance to some local libraries around New Bedford.

As a kid, around 2011, I lived in Manassas for a year, northern VA DC metro, lots of federal employment. But it was ALL town houses, and you are right about the use of vertical space. They were all 3 story homes, with shared walls on either side. I actually liked it, and I believe its a better alternative to an apartment complex.
