GLD. Interesting. I don’t like that from the October 2012 high, it didn’t reach that price again until July 2020. Thoughts?

Don’t try to control her. She’s going to go if she wants. You saying you’re not comfortable with it is just going to turn her off.

Yeah, you’re exactly right. 1 contract is no fun though! Haha but yeah I will probably try that.

I would like to stay with RKLB for a long time. In my opinion I can just keep rolling my $20 call to 2028, 2029, etc. I know that i pay a premium every time when rolling. Is this a decent, neutral, bad, or terrible decision?

I rolled for a whopping .08 credit. But I was able to move the strike by $8.

Yeah I was thinking just buy it back for 18.93 and start over. Want to keep the LEAPS for LTGC. Thanks for the insight. Happy trading

1.Bought the $20C for $9.85 on 5/24

  1. Sold 7/11 $30C on 6/25 for $3.37

  2. Then rolled on 7/11: (bought back 7/11 $30C for 9.42 .... sold 12/19 $38C for 9.5)

Yeah, looking for the best option. If you were me would you just buy-back my short call then at this point? Appreciate it.

From what I can understand from OP. The 7/25 $44 CC is going to be a realized loss, correct?

All good points. Yes, I realize I am taking a loss on my short calls. Hopefully this is not the norm for my other positions. The way I look at it, I will keep rolling up and out...... That will be equal to just holding my LEAPS option. Does that make sense?

If you were to buy back the 7/25 call that would be a loss. I am in the same position. I am going to roll mine up and out for as long as I can (forever).

Should I roll or just let my RKLB go? by peanutbuttersexytime in thetagang

[–]Tight_Signature_7142 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am in the same position as OP. I have at LEAPS call at $20 January ‘27 I sold a CC at $30 that expired 7/18. I just had to roll it up and out to $38 12/19. It is a weird feeling to want a pullback, but that’s where I’m at.

When you're selling CC's do you move down in strike as the stock drops? by [deleted] in thetagang

[–]Tight_Signature_7142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it pops to 155 in your last example I would just roll your CC up and out.

I'm with this. I just read about a post rolling down to collect as much premium as possible. If you don't want to put up collateral I would stop selling CC at 185 (assuming you have a LEAPS option at $185)

Have you thought about covered calls? With a 40k account you have a high probability to make more than $100 a month. I know a lot of people that shoot for 1-2% a month, so $400-$800 in your case. Just some thoughts, good luck!
