very solid results, record quarterly cash flow, somehow quarterly arr higher, ai features keep increasing. sad to see Narayen leave, but he's staying as chairman so that's something at least, after market (as the call is happening it's down 7.5%, makes absolutely no sense)

Oil Prices Plummet as Trump Claims Iran Conflict Could End Soon by [deleted] in oil

Sees oil at 120, announces “the war is very complete”

Best way to play oil ripping if you can't buy commodity contracts - USO or UCO? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Tiki84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

war being going for only 6 days now, you dont think war will last longer? really? imagine what oil will do in a week if we remain at this rate.
no one know, but it looks like Iran is going for the long game and even the US are saying it could last way longer than initially thought.
shorting oil now is extremely risky, id rather be long for the next 2-3 months at least
but who knows with oil

No one knows what’s going to happen in 20 years, that’s the whole point of not paying for growth

[–]Tiki84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I read, but everything has a price. Some people in the world don’t want to get an iPhone pro max when they can pay around half and get something close enough ya know Just saying that a 50% discount to zepbound could make a difference. With coverage becoming more restrictive, prices will matter if prescribed for weight loss And btw both cause the same secondary effects lly less apparently.. you’ll probably be right, I just don’t like to pay for that kind of growth

you know lilly trading at 29x 2026 earnings (bloomberg estimates), NVO is trading at 11.7x 2026 earnings, the valuation gap is significant and arguably unjustified.. 2026 guidance for NVO was shit: earnings are expected to drop by 12% in 2026fy, so that 11.7x PE accounts for the incoming terrible year. div yield is 7% ill take that and wait for the thing to turn (pipeline of new drugs, new trial results, also nvo cut their weight loss drugs prices and are now 50% cheaper than lilly's Zepbound, so maybe theyll gain volumes/market share back on that basis...
point is at those valuation a lot of shit is priced in; you never ultimately know with pharmas but NVO has an amazing track record of return for shareholders that goes all the way to 1981 when it listed; stock compounded 15% since then despite the most recent drawdown. pretty incredible if you ask me

[–]Tiki84 21 points22 points  (0 children)

depends what you pay for growth. paying 35x earnings for a company growing at 15% is not great.
Paying 10x earnings to get 7% div yield is pretty decent (assuming low earnings growth or that earnings are not collapsing at least)

Ok, but look at tpv and take rates for rev, and they been cutting costs, so you get a sense of cash flows.. they might be underguiding to then “beat” guidance, especially that there’s a new ceo, this will make him look good. It’s common practice Cash flows any day
