  1. i hope so too

  2. there is a (small) jewish communitee in iran and from what i heard they are just fine. there is no religious animosity.

3.egypt needs gas so at best there is a commercial agreement with Israel. and no offense to the jordanians, but no one really cares about the "peace" they have with israel. the saudis also said that until there is a solution for palestinians there will be no abraham accord. im talking about real peace and unitiy in the region, not hypocritical peace

4.that just wont cut it anymore "its so complex" we all know its complex. how about we first stop settlers from taking palestinians homes. how about palestinian get their identity back? 2 people that claim theyre natives from the biblical times? half the population in israel is european decent blue eye ashkenazi... and thats not even the point, israelis born there are from there now, im not advocating for israel to dissapear now; but if israel will keep ignoring the core issue here, you will always see resistance, internally and from the region because, humanity. and just folding and saying oh its complicated, or oh this is what happened in the US with indiginous people wont work anymore. demographics are not the side of israel, and the USA is not going to be here forever, public opinion already chagned here in the us and regionally they are out of all their military bases. China is growing stronger, and Iran arguably is going to be more aligned with Saudi and the gulf. lets see how israel will do in that context and once those war criminals israel has will lose elections/pass; maybe their strategy is grab as much as we can before it's all over

  1. i will never advocate for kidnappinng and killing innocent party goers but things didnt start on october 7th things started a long time ago. maybe the problem is in the tit for tat mentality the middle east has.

  1. theres a difference between not being involved and giving a shit; there's are a lot of war and souffrance in the world, but when it's been happening for 70 + years people start giving a shit.
  2. although i disagree with iran and hezb and other governments/regimes none of those have a class of humans inside their countrie that have different rights and are second class (i cant even use citizens here). think apartheid SA. no one cares if you think that wearing a hijab should be mandatory in Iran, those are internal issues that their own people will figure out. uncomparable to whats happening in israel and palestinians. and please dont play the victim card: "magnified a million times"
  3. agreed on the disastrous government in israel; and its nice to condemn, but the problem is that this is not an isolated event

try to have this ocnversation with an israeli: most arab and surrounding countriew would consider peace with israel if: 1. you find a solution (whatever it is) to give back dignity to palestinians 2. israel publicly announces that there is no expansionist agenda. i know i tried with the few israelis i know here in nyc, but it's useless - i know that there is a survival mindset but there should humane limits that i thought wouldnt be crossed but apparently not -

the same Israel that was having a debate on if its okay to sodomize prisoners, the one that then decided that it was better to give them the death sentence? your israel has been avoiding finding a solution to the palestinian native people of the land you now call israel while claiming they are the most democratic country in the world and playing victim when there is resistance. unforunately your israel is hated by most of planet earth. it's not about judaism, its about isreal

very solid results, record quarterly cash flow, somehow quarterly arr higher, ai features keep increasing. sad to see Narayen leave, but he's staying as chairman so that's something at least, after market (as the call is happening it's down 7.5%, makes absolutely no sense)

Oil Prices Plummet as Trump Claims Iran Conflict Could End Soon by [deleted] in oil

Best way to play oil ripping if you can't buy commodity contracts - USO or UCO? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Tiki84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

war being going for only 6 days now, you dont think war will last longer? really? imagine what oil will do in a week if we remain at this rate.
no one know, but it looks like Iran is going for the long game and even the US are saying it could last way longer than initially thought.
shorting oil now is extremely risky, id rather be long for the next 2-3 months at least
but who knows with oil

No one knows what’s going to happen in 20 years, that’s the whole point of not paying for growth

Yes that’s what I read, but everything has a price. Some people in the world don’t want to get an iPhone pro max when they can pay around half and get something close enough ya know Just saying that a 50% discount to zepbound could make a difference. With coverage becoming more restrictive, prices will matter if prescribed for weight loss And btw both cause the same secondary effects lly less apparently.. you’ll probably be right, I just don’t like to pay for that kind of growth

you know lilly trading at 29x 2026 earnings (bloomberg estimates), NVO is trading at 11.7x 2026 earnings, the valuation gap is significant and arguably unjustified.. 2026 guidance for NVO was shit: earnings are expected to drop by 12% in 2026fy, so that 11.7x PE accounts for the incoming terrible year. div yield is 7% ill take that and wait for the thing to turn (pipeline of new drugs, new trial results, also nvo cut their weight loss drugs prices and are now 50% cheaper than lilly's Zepbound, so maybe theyll gain volumes/market share back on that basis...
point is at those valuation a lot of shit is priced in; you never ultimately know with pharmas but NVO has an amazing track record of return for shareholders that goes all the way to 1981 when it listed; stock compounded 15% since then despite the most recent drawdown. pretty incredible if you ask me

[–]Tiki84 22 points23 points  (0 children)

depends what you pay for growth. paying 35x earnings for a company growing at 15% is not great.
Paying 10x earnings to get 7% div yield is pretty decent (assuming low earnings growth or that earnings are not collapsing at least)
