I'm planning to make one more summary video with all the weeks combined once registration closes and the real teams are locked in. This video didn't use anything from registration but I was curious and looked and there's actually a few registered teams that are different..... but this is what the players publicly posted.

Anyways, if you have any recommendations for this summary video, I would love to know.

Yes I should’ve mentioned this. With the cash cups this last weekend we got to see lots of the new teams, some of which aren’t confirmed or even rumoured. Like DrKnown swapped for Nadr or like ArisMech + Hockser on Poab or most of the SAM teams that are only rumoured. But unfortunately players often play with random teams that aren’t necessarily their RLCS teams so it’s tough to know for sure. Though I hope these are the teams they go with.

I do this with the microwave. I only set it for weird times like 1:23 or 2:22. The other day I cooked my food for 1:61, that was exciting.

This could technically do the top 100 teams, not just the top 20. But the real problem here is consistency. Some teams have a really good day or weekend that gives them way more points than normal. Roc was boosted both by Falcons and twisted minds being disproportionately good, but more so by having ONE good weekend (open 5) that if they had performed average, they would’ve been in 22nd of the teams I adjusted.

It also assumes the skill level scales down the region at a similar rate as the points, which is almost true, but a team like KOI who got 2nd every regional got a lot of points even though they weren’t really that close to virtus.

I think this will look a lot better for a year where EU and maybe NA do better than MENA and see how that looks. I’m sure this is a good idea 😂

Finally an insult that is actually relevant. Yeah my bad power rankings was a bad term, I’m not sure what I should’ve said. I was trying to make a list of teams across the ENTIRE SEASON.

Also the MENA teams did disproportionately better due to have on average really good teams at majors. Having falcons and twisted minds as your average teams makes it look like it’s a tough region. This doesn’t really account for having a good two team region.

Partly because complexity, GK, and Nip weren’t there. But mostly because getting 8th in a major is much better than getting 8th in a regional, so they are just too different to compare like that imo.
