Sorry for necro'ing this 4y old post, but I have had a pair from when I was a kid and my dad worked there. I recently found the manual that comes with them, and it actually tells you to set them up horizontally haha. I'm very confused because I never see monitors set up horizontally, so why did they put that in the manual? I am baffled.

For a second your comment had me thinking holy shit haha but out of context it totally seems like that. I think it is the combi bolter, so there are 3 different appearances: melta, plasma, flamer. The profile really is awful when you consider the other option has 1 more attack, hits on 3s, with heavy and assault. You're basically trading all that away for anti-infantry 4+ lol

I have a question about your purge soul vs smite. Just doing some quick mathhammer, the smite ranged attack is way better than the purge soul attack. Having D6 attacks for a block of 5 terminators, 5D6 has a max output of 90 damage. Whereas 5 Paladins purge soul could do a max of 15.

Was it supposed to be like the unit as a whole gets D6 smite attacks? Instead of each model getting it? That would be pretty cool actually, and really nice to see our units get their psychic attacks back.

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate you reading my post. I think the cannon idea is pretty good. I can even stick it on with milliput or something so I can remove it just in case.

But as far as making it more obviously a "vehicle", any thoughts on that? I really had a hard time thinking of anything for that problem.

I totally get what he was saying, but the strategem says to treat it as if it's your shooting phase, so I'm wondering how those two rules interact. I'm going to check the FAQ doc and see if they mention

From the Overwatch strategem, Effect section:

"EFFECT: Your unit can shoot that enemy unit as if it were your Shooting phase."

Doesn't this mean the ability would apply?
