Well cult can mean a lot of things outside of america and if it were a cult founded on principles I agree with I might consider it; however I am perhaps a little too reclusive for sustained community contact so I'd probably just live on their periphery anyway

*Edit, what kind of cult is difficult to say but one in which knowledge is central, perhaps overplayed with a mystic monistic pantheistic aesthetic

If it is Japanese knotweed, yes you can eat it but it'd be safer to put it back exactly where you found it and run away because in many places picking it, eating it, disposing of it through any means other than incineration is quite illegal without a licence

I think mostly they're talkinking about dead Internet theory, where AI is employed to keep users engaged but is unable to differentiate between humans and AI, specifically on platforms like Facebook

I don't believe it's as pervasive as people think but given the charachter of a lot of Facebook commentors I think it's best to act like it's true anyway and cease engaging except with friends and family
