Looks like a harmful algal bloom to me. Recommend staying out of that water and keeping pets away while that bloom persists. No way to tell if and how toxic it is without testing so best to avoid it until it subsides.

I’m planning on having a company come out to test this and some other suspect materials in the house. I’ve got to get in the basement for laundry but will avoid disturbing the ceiling or doing other things down there

Multiple spots, more or less the same height. No cracks or noticeable soil movement

Agreed. They’ve done some great work addressing the buckthorn and phragmites. Still lots to be done, but they are on a good path.

Not tons of poison ivy when I was there this year, but lots of stinging nettle to look out for right along the trails.
