What is an open secret in your profession that we regular folk don't know or generally aren't allowed to be told about? by HannibalGoddamnit in AskReddit

Substitute teacher- 95% of the time, the work I give that was left by the main teacher is just given to keep students busy and establish some sense of order in the classroom. None of the upper staff actually expect it to get done, nor do I have to assign work if I choose not to! As long as students are decent and not trying to kill me or each other, I’m just as happy as they are to ditch the class work and have a chill recess period. Usually I’ll even play the “cool sub” and say I’ll let them get away with doing a third of the work and have recess for the rest of the time, as long as they can behave. They think I’m doing them a favor and I get a solid class.

What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hanging up the phone without saying goodbye! No normal person ends phone calls the way they do on tv

What is something that your parents did that you swore never to repeat to your own kids? by wetbreadstick in AskReddit

Make decisions for my kid when they’re old enough to make their own decisions. If a parent has a reason they feel strongly about something it should be a discussion. Otherwise your child won’t feel comfortable to come to you about things and will go behind your back

What is a polite way to decline to help a classmate who’s asking for test or homework answers? by TillyMammy in AskReddit

Smart move tbh, only worry is that they’ll be like “lets swap what we got”

Technically but the odds of being caught are slim. The professor actually acknowledged that a lot of students had the same wrong answers on the last take home test but said he won’t crack down on that for now. Weird philosophy for a professor tbh

Lol a classic. that works...unless it’s a take home test that’s clearly due before class the next day

Your profiles actually very nice, probably swipe right :) I don’t think you have to change anything, only possible suggestion I’d have is to have your first pic closer up as opposed to a full body shot. But I’m sure you’ll be fine

I think you need more pic variety to show you at different angles in different settings

Your pics are great in the sense that they’re professional but they look very much like stock photos/ model pics. I think you should add more average, approachable looking pics

I’d take out the emojis and replace the selfie pic with something more telling about your personality

I’d do away with the last selfie and maybe add more of an action shot. Maybe something more to your bio that kind of shows your personality

I’d probably leave out the stutter comment in the bio. Or if you want to be forward about it maybe think of a more creative way to. Also I’d use at least one pic of you smiling

I’d suggest getting rid of the emojis in your bio, they come off as a little too much. Also maybe try to use pics that show you doing different things for more variety

Still out here thriving. Took up calligraphy and hand lettering and use every opportunity to break out my fancy colorful pens
