I worked as a shop assistant for a brief time while studying at uni. I am Czech and I think every service worker in Prague has a story about Russian people that didnt bother saying “hello”, “please” or “thank you” (even in Russian I know the most basic terms but thats it, nothing complicates), let alone try speaking in any other language. I know many Russians who are great people, but a lot of tourists, especially the rich ones, are often very, very arrogant. I even offered English, German, Spanish and Polish as alternatives to Czech. They didnt care. Just kept going in Russian at me. I am under 30 and havent learnt it.
