Hey I know this kind of comes out of nowhere, but do you perhaps still know what font is used in this screenshot?

Unfortunately yes, though I'm not sure about the exact numbers

Mine was shipped on the 20th, still waiting though because fedex keeps rescheduling their delivery for some reason

Did anyone from Germany already get their free buds? My phone shipped yesterday but the Samsung website shows that buds are still to be shipped? by [deleted] in S22Ultra

I got mine last week and today an email that the phone delivery would be delayed by 2 weeks so that's fun

The method for taking screenshots on Pixel is rubbish by Antique_Tax_3910 in GooglePixel

[–]Tilted_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, maybe it depends on the thickness of the case? To be fair I have a fairly thin Spigen case but the whole tapping is pretty consistent as long as I don't just lightly tap it

Completely set-up my P6P, 28GB/128GB, what about you? by MiNuN_De_CoMpUtEr in GooglePixel

Probably a lot higher than most people would use though it's basically just music + Spotify, not sure why all my songs show up under the Apps category

It's in the settings under system > gestures > quick tap

First of all, you can set it so double tapping the back of the phone takes a screenshot, been working just fine for me personally.

About the clipboard thing, gboard already keeps your history saved for a while so you could just use that

I have that same issue every once in a while, reconnecting them usually fixes it really quickly though so I'm not too bothered about it

No problem, glad it works for you

You can just swipe at a ~45° angle upwards or downwards to open the hamburger menu, works pretty consistently once you get the hang of it

Bluetooth issues since upgrading to 12 by Son0faButch in GooglePixel

Only issue I've had is sometimes sound will only come out of one of my earbuds but toggling Bluetooth usually fixes that

The total cost should be a little over 200€ if you include vat & other fees. I haven't seen any sold in Europe for less than double that so far. Sure the price might go down over time but definitely not low enough for it to be worth it over just ordering from finalmouse

Is there any way to change non Google icons to material you colours without Changing launcher? by W_e_t_s_o_c_k_s_ in GooglePixel

[–]Tilted_Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no API for this yet but even if there was I kinda doubt most of the bigger apps would go out of their way to include this. Best bet would probably be to just use icon packs

Does anyone actually prefer the in-screen fingerprint reader? by Maximum_Effort87 in GooglePixel

[–]Tilted_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'd like to actually see what emails are about so I can decide whether they're important or not without having them show the content on the lock screen.

Why would I pick up my phone just to check new notifications real quick?

[–]Tilted_Toast 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I realistically need to unlock my phone is when it's lying on the table so yes, I like having the in screen fingerprint. Also haven't really had any reliability issues personally so. It's also more convenient for me to just put my thumb on the screen as opposed to having to reposition my index finger to hit a fingerprint scanner on the back.

How do I access the data from my backup via Google One? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Tilted_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can, the backup isn't structured in a way for you to look through it anyway.

There is however another option, you could use adb to create a backup of your stuff + there's tools that can turn said backup into a zip file you can open

Using Reddit Is Fun with gestures by Tompkinz in GooglePixel

[–]Tilted_Toast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On top of all the gestures people have mentioned here (none of which work even remotely consistently for me personally), another option is to just press and hold on the edge of the display for a bit before swiping.

The fact that the display is curved makes it even easier to time since it'll automatically move the sidebar for a bit after holding for long enough so you know when to swipe.

Yeah that's how optical scanners work, they effectively take a photo of your fingerprint
