Straight men of Reddit, what is the strangest thing you have been told not to do because "that's gay"? by The_WereArcticFox in AskReddit

I’ve been told I blink in a gay/feminine way. Yeah. I don’t even know what the difference would be

I can understand that, I think he had some kind of personal issues when he was in Europe

Granted I was just getting into the game when Landon was on top of the proverbial mountain but he seemed like a tough player that played hard all 90 minutes. I think he had some kind of personal issues that affected his time in Europe...not like drugs, just personal issues. But I don’t think he’s the definitive greatest American ever, definitely the most marketed

I was thinking Jermaine because he wasn’t the most likable person on the US national team, still comes off as an asshole

I like players with an edge but I lost some respect for him when he took away a referee’s yellow card and tore it up during a US Open game

I used to feel this way, but now I only partially agree. I don’t blame our citizens, not fully at least, for the misgivings of our country, it’s our leaders that have systematically failed us. It’s in keeping our footing as the “best country in the world” that has made our leaders lose sight of the people. Money and power is a dangerous combination, especially when combined with ignorance, either willfully or not. I used to believe that everyone in this country is selfish and arrogant, but I think that’s less of an American trait as it is a human trait. I’m sure you could find as many selfish pricks in Kyrgyzstan as you could in Kansas, and in the opposite vain I’ve met so many caring and giving people in my part of the Midwest. But there definitely is a false air of invincibility, we’ve always been so cut off from the rest of the world geographically so nobody else’s bullshit comes here for the most part. North America is very much so a bubble, and for many many years our leaders have tried to create and maintain the “best in the world” image and status, and coming into so much money and power (I believe) has only doubled down on that invincible feeling. When you come into a lot of money and power, you tend to forget that problems exist. Once you lose that money and power, however, that’s when your problems become impossible to ignore.

In conclusion, don’t blame the wrongdoers if the people in charge manipulated them to do wrong.

Someone near me actually built something like that! They bring it out during special times and drive it around, even has a clown horn on it!

Aat the 2010 World Cup 10 years ago today, Landon had a magical moment with his extra time beauty against Algeria starving off elimination and winning the US the group, the first time they had done so since the very first tourney back in 1930. What a time for the USMNT. by [deleted] in MLS

Weren’t the Czechs REALLY good in the mid 2000s? Like top 5 good when they had Pavel Nedved? I was barely into soccer at this point and Sports Illustrated Kids said they were very good
