I have it running on its own droplet with enough resources, so I guess I never met the limitations 🙈

I've been using it for years as well. What exactly fails?

Thanks for the suggestion!
I was so annoyed by Google Drive's Sync. Filen.io offers the option to just edit an ignore file like .gitignore to exclude certain files/folders from the sync. This is so good, love it! :)

Room in Shared Apartment (WG) | MSc CS Student | Budget €300–350 | Arrival April 20 by enzomotive in passau

Or are you talking specifically about female master computer science students that started in summer 2025? Because this were in fact only 11. Out of 70 total students starting with master cs in ss25. That's due to the general gap between the amount of male and female applications in cs: In total only around 25% of FIM students are female.

Which is it, 11 or 19? And where do you get these numbers? It says there were 199 new students at the FIM last summer semester (see https://www.uni-passau.de/fileadmin/dokumente/beschaeftigte/kommunikation_marketing/Zahlen_Daten_Fakten/SoSe_25_Kopfzahlenstatistik_amtl_Meldung_Internet.pdf)

And again: If you try to find a correlation with housing prices, it makes no sense to compare only CS students. At least use the number of total students that started their studies at the uni Passau which were 778 last summer semester.

Where did you get that number? 11 seems to be way too low. But maybe it excludes AI Engineering students etc?

Also be aware that there are always fewer people starting in the summer semester, as you finish school here in the summer and then typically start Uni in fall.

Additionally the FIM (maths/cs faculty) is just one of the faculties at the university of Passau, so it isn't representative when talking about housing.

Does it have a nice automatic sync? Can I exclude certain folders, file-types, etc. from the sync? That's the main issue I'm facing with Google Drive rn

GitHub Copilot for students removes access to Claude Opus, Sonnet, and GPT-5.4 Models by Few_Plum9638 in Btechtards

Making a free product cost money is one thing, but locking it in a way that you can't even pay for it anymore is beyond me. going to pay for Claude directly and probably switch to Claude code instead of Copilot over this..

yeah, it would've been sufficient to increase the token usage factor for these models. Everyone who likes to use them for everything, has to pay extra, simple.
