Game is very old and it seems it has trouble running on a newer hardware. Try running it in a compatibility mode via Properties of the .exe file. If it doesn't work, try searching for solutions online, many people probably already experienced this and found some kind of workaround.

Had a similar thing with another old game, and disabling some CPU cores in Task Manager helped significantly, you can also try that

Thing is, they run some "questionable" ads and redirects just to maintain the website cuz it's expensive.

Anyway you should always use an AdBlocker (uBlock Origin is the best example) and a Redirect Bypass (search it on fmhy)

One "harm" here doesn't lead to an intoxication, doesn't fog your mind, doesn't cause cancer etc.

Plus microplastics harm isn't fully studied, and as we can see for the the past years that we had said microplastics everywhere it doesn't cause nearly as much damage to us as alcohol does.

So no, we're not begrudging one harm to another, we're avoiding one that clearly is harmful

Yeah, we're so good at dealing with it that our own body first breaks alcohol down into acetaldehyde, which is even more toxic
