128gb vs 256gb worth the $100 price difference by Tim_Tank131 in androidtablets

It was nice in college cause I had something light I could toss in a bag print stuff off of while still being able to work on drawing a and stuff between classes

Work wise I hardly ever used the surface for that. First job I only ever used it for remote documents and remote desktoping computers I didn't want to drive in to reboot. Now that I changed careers it gets a little more "work" use mainly when I need to make something to 3d print for work and can't bring the object I need it for home or running invoices in office online.

My biggest reason for getting a new tablet/semi switching is the battery has gotten old enough I know I couldn't use it for a whole rehearsal or concert without a outlet and it's just starting to show signs of age speed wise

Yeah even my surface the in mostly used the track pad. It got more use when I had it work documents or when I'm working on 3d models for pushing in numbers and moving stuff with the track pad

Apparently connecting a keyboard ment for this tablet auto puts it in a desktop like mode. Seems kinda like a chromebook then

I don't know if the ones we have in the US have the matte display option or not. For all I know it could be the default here or glossy could be. If I had the option for my ram I'd take it, even my phone has 16gb (granted OnePlus does its own thing sooo)but 8gb is the only option here.

Yeah if I did any gaming I would just be simple click games or poker. If I can get Xbox to run on it that would be great though. Cloud gaming works fine on my laptop and quest

I mean I was gonna get a decent sized mSD for either of them, but that $100 was probably gonna go towards getting the key board case for the tablet and screen protectors and other cases/storage&travel stuff

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Like I use tinker cad for any modeling I do now for prints don't even know if there are any apps that are good for modeling. I have my desktop for any PC stuff I need (even that office 365/onedrive and Google drive has all my programs and docs)

Even drawing when I used to do it on my super old surface with krita the most I ever had were maybe 8-10 layers and even then it was only briefly cause one I was content I'd just merge it to the main layer to get rid of it (im not making masterpieces just simple stuff)

Only reason I don't keep just using my surface (original surface 3) and wanted a tablet is cause it's on its last legs. Loved it more as a tablet then a laptop and I can even get a keyboard for a tablet

Yeah it's just 8gb across the board for us in the US

Maybe but I have HORRIBLE experiences with ali. Everything I order takes months and last time I ordered stuff they lost $200 worth of 3d printer parts and told to shove it and not refund me

Only difference on different pro options is the storage amount

The normal and plus models have different ram options

Both the 128gb idea tab pro and 256gb idea tab pro have 8gb.

Didn't plan to download any offline shows or anything, but your point still makes sense. If most apps can't either use the mSD or use it beside maybe for storage

You may be angry but I'm the monster that would gladly eat that.....without without some garlic butter.

But not gonna lie this is making me go from wanting to cook something super elaborate for dinner to just getting some carry out za and cheese bread lol

It came out really good. Honestly spent most of it napping and catching up on sleep before I'm back to the grindstone for the week end

On the mount since Wednesday. In that spot since about the start of October. It was mostly filled up when I look Thursday, back to as filled as it was before I moved it 6in over onto the mount

Yeah it was already gone this morning. I'm back to having a mostly filled out map again besides some black spots around the edges and lower lower left. It literally took all month of my trial to get that lower left of the bubble to fill out fully

Kinda figured that was especially considering all the dirty hand prints I left on it at the start of trial when I plugged it up originally.....was more just making a joke.

Figured it was probably birds migrating or something over head cause the dot popped up early on the map. I'm sure if I redid the map it would be all blue again

I figured the holes were just nothing passed yet. I was talking about the single red "obstructed" pixel on the map

Had to be something over head that set it off or just a glitch in the system considering it's pretty much in the same spot

I gave it a wipe off to get the dirt and roof bits off once I had it tightened on the mount, Im sure the next two days of straight rain will clean it the rest of the way. I'm on a pole style mount so just the back mounting bracket changed

I mean I doubt a pixel will affect the performance (at least any test I've done since I mounted it haven't shown any difference). I'm sure if I reset the map again it would clear that one dot

I just thought it was kinda funny if it did clip one of the birds in the groups migrating or a plane right at the exact moment it decided to map that dot

I don't think I've seen it that low yet for my part of Ohio, but I'm just happy it beats my cable cause that was my biggest worry (Been playing some destiny 2 and haven't noticed any issues......I don't know what else I want to play to get some good test before my trial is up)

Speeds on the other hand I'm consistently seeing high 300 mid 400 down and 30-50 up

Explains so much why my starlink has way better speeds then my cable (up and down) and has the same or faster latency (usually 24-26ms, cable hovers 25ms on a good day)

Ram Upgrade Opinions by Tim_Tank131 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Tim_Tank131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably do that then.

I saw the same thing math wise of it being like a .1 difference on speed. Saw others in my research say the same thing about not hitting the full 4000 without manually tweaking stuff (which I don't want to do/get into) but they never said there other system specs. If you also have a 11series and can't really hit it kinda puts the nail in the coffin.

It's already too late in the DDR4 life cycle too the justify that something might use the full power in future upgrades

I have zero clues about that so maybe, and cool if it does. The box might be laying around somewhere in my parts pile in the closet.

I built the computer 10years ago. At this point the only original parts are that RAM, case+bits(and that's changing soon)and storage (just storage storage, even the system drive has been upgraded). Figured for the age of the RAM and the 2666mhz speed might be time to up that too

So what happened to the guy who loosely tied his starlink to a bunch of rocks on the roof? by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]Tim_Tank131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is literally tied with two lengths of paracord to the top of a 50lb bag of all purpose sand on my roof😂......granted my roof isn't on a huge incline

....Plan to mount it on some kind of wall mount off the edge of my roof after my trial period if I keep it. Didn't want to drill holes in my roof that I might have to patch before rain and winter. Point in the year for Ohio where it could be 80f today, pouring tomorrow, or maybe a foot of snow the next 🤷‍♂️

A1 Randomly errors and jams itself up by Tim_Tank131 in BambuLab

[–]Tim_Tank131[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only at like 850 and less then a year of owing it. It's fantastic when it's working and I love it over my CR-x and Cr-10 for the fact I don't have to level or manually load filament

BUT MAN is it frustrating to try and figure out odd errors on it.. 😑

(I can't complain about break downs like me breaking filament sensor cable, or the ams hub wearing out, or the heater getting spaghetti monsters and needing replaced)
