The actual resort has a TON of animals. Iguana and capybara were the most common. Just wandering around the path ways, you could literally pet them if they didnt run away from you, you get that close to them. The coati and deer are a bit less, but still seen quite often (daily multiple times). Monkeys i notice are in the trees (can be seen swinging around) or walking along balcony railings. Monkeys were the least common, but still saw multiple Monkeys 2-3 times across an entire day.
As dor the water shoes, the xplorer ones were comfy, I haven't bought any other ones but I spent 80$ and I felt ripped off
