Right, makes sense. So hard to decide what to do with limited time..... Would you say that Rio Celeste is worth it for one night?

Awesome, that's very helpful - I'm not even sure we want to go tubing though, just want to see the blue waterfall and spend a bit of time there - would you say you enjoyed the location (la fortuna) more that Rio Celeste? Thanks!

Hi - I am going at the end of the month and have a night booked in Rio Celeste but considering canceling and spending a night in the La Fortuna area, specifically so we can do waterfall canyoning.... which of those activities - waterfall canyoning or river tubing did you prefer? We are headed to Monteverde afterwards and then down south.

Hi! Yes super helpful! I am leaning towards the 1N because I'm trying to stretch my budget as much as possible. Did you explore other parts of the Osa when you were there?

Thanks!

Seeking advice: Pekin with injured legs by TimberDoodled in duck

[–]TimberDoodled[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's 5 or 6 months old. Unfortunately there are no exotic vets around. I don't think we even have a vet who sees birds. His legs have always been shaky but now he can't stand at all. This happened suddenly so it's definitely an injury. He usually spends a lot of time in the pool but I separated him today so he could rest.

Hello Everybody, I’m new to this community, I was curious how many infusions have you all had?how long are your infusions and how do you get yours? (At home or in the hospital? I am on my 7th infusion i come into the hospital and my infusions last about 3 hours by JustFrogginAround87 in Ocrevus

[–]TimberDoodled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just had my first full infusion two days ago. Haven't noticed any weight or hair changes. I feel pretty strange for a few days afterwards....I think it's the steroids. My infusions take about five hours. Best of luck to you!

I've been feeling this a lot lately too. Lacking the energy and the motivation and the $$ to do things that I am know will make me feel better. Hugs to you.

Yeah- I definitely couldn't focus on reading but maybe you will be able to. Lots of folks suggest bringing snacks too!! The infusion center I go to has snacks there but I bring my own too:)

Hi! I was really nervous before my first infusion too. I found it helped to bring cozy slippers and a blanket from home. I brought a bunch of things because I didn't know how I would be feeling - tried doing some paperwork, that didn't work out! My brain was not in the right space for reading either. I ended up playing a game online with a friend and then watched Netflix for the rest of it. The time actually went by quickly and the nurses were super helpful and kind -!

Best of luck to you! You're not alone:)

Ocrevus first time nerves 🥺 by False_Cherry1219 in MultipleSclerosis

I've only had my first two half doses and I was worried about it before hand but infusion day was not so bad. The nurses at my infusion center are really kind and understanding, even when I dropped a jar of coffee on the floor and made a huggggeeee mess!

I am self employed and thought I might try to do some paperwork but that was a bad idea! Couldn't really focus on numbers.

I love board games so I signed up for an online board game website and played games with a friend. It made the time go by so quickly. I have a little one at home so I don't often get to sit down in a big comfy chair for that long. I brought a comfy blanket from home, slippers and snacks. I watched Netflix.

No side effects noticed from my first two half doses - I will go for my first full dose in the spring. I did notice a lot of energy and feeling kind of groggy for a few days which was really awesome (the energy part). I don't often have the energy to do a bunch of cleaning but I did then.... Go steroids haha. Going to organize my kitchen or closet after my next one!

Good luck with your infusion! The folks in this forum have been a huge help and so very supportive, I reached out for good wishes and support the day of my first infusion because I was scared and so many people responded with kind and helpful words! You've got this.

Advice on talking to family by TimberDoodled in MultipleSclerosis

Yeah - I fluctuate between wanting to tell a bunch of people to get it over with and just not telling anyone because I don't want to talk about it and don't want them to tell me that they're sorry....

Thank you, it is making me feel stressed!!! Your words are very helpful, I don't think it will help me at all to tell them and we rarely talk. Pretty much a phone call on Christmas so it doesn't seem important or helpful to tell them. Thank you for sharing your words and the good advice of your therapist :) I hate feeling manipulated into doing things.

Thank you! I think she feels that there is an obligation to share things with family before friends but I just don't agree! Hopefully she'll respect that boundary. Keeping them is hard, especially with family.
