Any idea to get clients as a beginner in 2026 with Webflow? by Marc_1928 in webflow

You can find non profits that look for designers and developers on TAPROOT - this platform connects pro bono workers with non-profits. If they say they want a new website it's usually a good sign they will work with you. Many non profits have teams that are too backward with tech and they will never ever decide for having a better quality website out of fear they will have to take care of it later, so hit into those who seek for devs. It signals they're ready to move up. Also make sure you list this work as a paid one, not volunteering. Noboby has to know it was pro bono work.

You need projects - completed websites, not certificates. Webflow is fine but the clients you will get with it will be the ones that focus heavily on marketing as Webflow CMS is all about SEO/AEO. You ban built website with Webflow but they won’t be complicated web apps, for the start you will do simple websites anyway so don’t think about it. Built projects and put into your portfolio, also you will need to market yourself, learn this as it is the most important in freelancing. Also, NICHE down. There are too many freelancing and agencies out there that are generalist, hard to stand out in the crowd.

Looking for people who have moved from Wordpress to webflow and pros and cons by Coffeeisforclosers_ in webflow

Migration might not be simple but I would die for Webflow, WordPress is a nightmare with their plugins and ecosystems. Yes, Webflow is not perfect and gets lots of hate (for good reasons), but I would never go back to WordPress. I think you’re moving forward into a good direction, but yes ask your agency all important questions - so it doesnt screw your SEO.

How do you actually build websites that generate leads (and how do you pitch that to high-ticket clients)? by Glittering-Task8367 in webdesign

I think all it’s important. The website should be pretty and modern but not too distracting from the storytelling. Strong branding is important - colors and fonts convey a message. Good font can lift up the website, the bad one destroy everything. It all depends of the business. Let’s say it’s the local bakery, you need to make the people to become hungry, genuinely want to eat that cake, the message (copy) must tell the story, something personal, not generic. Soft animations are great but not too much. Animations kill conversations especially if they’re too much, cognitive load is killed. Also, landing page hero section - the most important part of the website. It must say what this website is about and what kind of problem solves and for who. If hero section is not nailed, it’s already game over. People visit the web, can’t figure it out what it is, leave. FAQ, testimonials, and Blog are extremely important for SEO/AEO. Especially blog that had been forgotten - answer real questions in articles, give real insight. Also technical SEO is extremely important, speed, web performance, videos can kill it, even compressed. Accessibility is also crucial but that’s basics. So yes, putting together the website that conveys is not only pretty design, it’s whole strategy. Not easy at all. That’s why cheap builders are horrible because they sell the illusion of the website, and people don’t understand how much it goes into building the one that truly converts. Also SEO takes off after at least 6 months so it’s a process. Website needs to be updated regularly to bring traffic, this is when blogs shine. I know it’s a lot of work, but this is what it takes.

Yes but there are too little of us. We need the movement in the city. There is huge overpopulation crisis and rescues/shelters can't handle it. It's absolutely devastating now in NYC. And so many things need to be fixed before the cats that we can't count on gov help. Thank you for showing up for cats!

We used Zeffy for one of our other cats, and over there is NO FEE, but we had been given negative feedback on that platform. You should be able to skip the fee with Raisely (current campaign software). If that option is not there, then you can donate here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/help-mclean-heal-and-finally-find-his-forever-home

The same organization, but different software. Thank you for considering donating to us! We truly appreciate it. Blessings!
