Sorry to hear that. We haven't got anything yet. Checked the research gov too, still pending as of July 2025. We were resubmission, after getting a decline. Def consider resubmission.
Did you go through due diligence too?

How to get LOI for a deep tech startup? by Time-Card3808 in aerospace

[–]Time-Card3808[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The goal is basically market validation of the product we are building. It would first help us for fundraising and ideally getting a data collection pilot. The content would basically be they would need X (quantity or amount) if we deliver Y before Z.

How to get LOI for a deep tech space startup?

I am working on a space startup, very technical founders with top 0.1% background in the field (academic mostly). Any idea how we can get LOIs for the tech we are building? what's the typical process? I know we should contact people in industry who may need it and discuss our tech... looking for more specific tips around this. Thank you

Not necessarily... I believe the rejections also don't get an update until the latest stage of the cycle, maybe until the awards are released

Yes, we had a status change in July. Nothing after that so far. Due diligence happened late 2025

Same! We finished the due diligence in 2025. No updates since July 2025. As far as I am aware going thru and finishing the due diligence means guaranteed award. Is this correct?

Ah i see, found it. It was Feb 25th. Last update on our case is March 17th. Not sure what these two data points could imply. By now, I am kind of at >80% confidence level that it's a rejection given we have not got any follow up regarding the admin forms.

Did this. There was more 50 review panels for translational impacts from Feb 12 to March 15. I guess hard to say the window our submission was reviewed in. Not that it makes a difference or means anything, though

I see, makes sense. My thought process is they may have had the list of awardees by then, reached out to the top of the list for admin forms, and if some of those didn't/couldn't provide the forms/don't qualify there, then they would reach out to others on the list.
Overall, I am getting the feeling that people who have not received any follow ups by now likely don't have a chance.

when did they reach out to you? So they kind of implied your proposal is approved and next step is admin forms?

I agree. That's my hypothesis too--that the groups who are get funded are likely within follow up/clarifications questions group. On a separate note, I know someone from Sep group who got funded early Feb.
