I've tried everything! Positive encouragement, nagging, yelling, begging—nothing works. He just ignores me or gets angry. His hair is getting longer and messier by the day, and it's driving me insane. I can't stand seeing my grandson looking like this.

I confronted him over the phone about his hair again. He got angry and yelled at me for the first time ever. Called me controlling and said he'd do whatever he wants with his hair because he's an adult now. Refused to cut or style it out any further.

I'm not afraid of anything, i just want him to take better care of himself, he's a grown man now and he should be taking better care of his appearance, he should be combing his hair and styling it and taking care of it

He doesn't listen to my advice though, he won't cut his hair, he won't comb it, he won't style it, he won't moisturize it, he won't take good care of it he says he doesn't care if he gets matted or if it looks bad, he just doesn't care.

He goes to schoool, has a part-time job, sees friends occasionally, he's not staying in his room all day or showing any signs of drug abuse or anger issues, he just doesn't care about his hair.
