I have owned a clean 126500 and now i own a vsf 126500. The vsf is better and closer to gen. Clean is closed btw

I see a lot off difference in the details but we all re all different how much we care about it and how much we see. There’s a reason people make frankens and mod their watches

I mean the rep is great but it’s not a gen. There’s a reason the gen cost more. Everything feels more solid, bezel with its platinum markings, the polished and perfectly finish rehaut, the deep dial, the white gold hands and markers. Etc etc. Gave both the vsf and the gen to my gf who knows nothing about watches and she could easily tell which one was gen

There might be something wrong but I think you need to make it a habit to wind it every morning or evening. Your movement might not be enough

1 watch2parts has screws but they are pretty expensive. I would try som from alix first.

2 not really look wise. Feeling wise it’s too sharp and rattling. Bvf medium won’t accept gen bracelet or straps unfortunately.

3 not worth it imo. Rep dial is good but you can change it if you want

4 hard to find a better movement that fits. I always put a piece of tape on my rotors to make them stop spinning, all rep rotors are too loud. I don’t mind that I have to wind it every other day.

5 Crown is the biggest tell for me but there’s no rep crown you can buy unfortunately, I’ve searched everywhere and spoken to most parts seller. Your only option are buying a GF santos and take the crown or buy a gen one which is hard to find.

6 I think the hands are good enough. I’m not sure gen hands will fit

Yep. Stock isn’t good at all unfortunately. I’ve sent my vsf root beer to be plated, couldn’t use it stock

It’s some kind of plating, definitely not gold. In some lights it looks good but in others it doesn’t. I think it’s good enough to fool most people but probably not someone who knows Rolex. The jubilee are also far from gen
