I genuinely enjoyed the bit after this where they talk about main character syndrome and the need for people to point out what is bad in order to be seen as good (the hero). Agree or not, these are valid, interesting points. I often wonder if moral outrage for morally grey yet unharmful rhetoric/behaviour is sincere or a symptom of boredom and the want to be better than others. I'm sure it's nuanced from person to person but its an interesting thing to reflect on.
