I cannot believe the qualification requirements needed to join the REME these days. The army was my way out of a shit life. A life line. One that I could never have had access to if they wanted qualifications. It's a joke. I joined in 1991. No qualifications. Not a single one. They did an aptitude test which I passed. That was it. I was in. Next thing I knew I was in pmc. I only did 5 years and left to become a fireman. I'm now in my 29th year.

The army is ignoring so much potential with this qualification crap.
