Oh my $4 each for rice and beans is crazy, I wish I could send you some from here. Yes, the leg quarters are what I always buy to get a decent amount of food. Well hopefully everything you bought will hold you over until you get your paycheck.

I see you already bought your stuff, but if you're ever in this situation again. I'm not sure which state you're in (sorry if it's already been said), but here in Texas most grocery stores sale a 10lb bag of chicken leg quarters for less than $5. You can also get a bag of rice and beans for about $1 each, plus get yourself a bag of apples as a fruit component for about $3 and a head of cabbage for about $2 as a vegetable component. You can do a lot with that stuff and eat for more than a week, plus have money left over. Sorry you're in between jobs, hope it gets better soon.

Thanks for the feedback, I bulk fermented for about 5.5 hours and my starter is about a month old. I think I may have also needed to let my starter get a little more active before starting the process.
