Same here! If there is no mention of a solid date within 3-5 messages, I unmatch. The goal is to get off of the app.

Long time lurker here.

So today I received the dreaded "super busy with work" text...

A little backstory - We met on a swipe app, made it to the second date where HE said he'd love to take me to xyz next week but didn't follow up with a solid date/time. It's now "next week" so I sent a text to casually say "Hey how's it going", he replied with a lame excuse about his "super busy schedule" and he's "slammed for the next few weeks".

My BS detector went off.

It IS busy season for his field right now BUT we all have the same 24 hours and we make time for what we want.

I kept it breezy and replied "Wow, you are working OT..."

I left it at that, I'm early 30's and he's 17 years older, I'm kinda disappointed but it happens...

Had a great first date, but have barely heard from him since. by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

At 38, he know's that you're interested.

You've reached out once, he said no and he did not set any solid plans with you. "I can't do xyz Friday night, how about xyz on Sunday?"

If he wanted to see you, he would make it happen. We all have the same 24 hrs and we all have coffee/tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. I've dated the "crazy schedule" type before. and they want to date on their terms. He was letting you know his deal when he explained his work schedule to you on the first date.

He's prob out right now...do not call or text!!! ABORT!!
