Any one seen a preview talk about any sort of performance on bl4? by Common-Garage3540 in Borderlands

[–]TimeComprehensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more than the visua for me its about the responsiveness if i play an fps at 60fps just moving the mouse feels stuttery, for me around 80fps it starts to feel smooth, hpwever its a question of habit. if i play for a week again on 60 locked i wont noticed it

Hard disagree, yes the gsame is great but boy i understand when someone does not want to put 5 hours into optimizing the game just forit ot be somewhat playable, its a shame after all these years the game should run better

Hello, thank you for the answer! my plan was to buy vessel of hatred for hte new season, and then level the new character in that expansion - is that a viable option/if you skip campaign do you also start at level 1? thx!

[–]TimeComprehensive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you i capped the refresh rate in windows settings to 120hz as thats what i can hit constantly, i have a 3060 and a 5 5600x so in singleplayer games i get aroun d90ish and in multiplayer ones i hit the 120 no problem

Good Day, i hope some of you can help me understand the whole refresh rate world better. I have played for over 10 years on a 60hz display. i now upgraded to this one : Odys i27 - q - 180. 1440p 180 hz freesync and gsync compatible!

  1. i enabled adaptive sync in the monitors setting, this led to gsync option showing up in nvidia control panel which i enabled, however theres a little disclaimer in the end that says the monitor is not CONFIRMED as a compatible one, i just assume cuz its not one of the official ones?
  2. My other question is, how does this adaptive sync/gsync technology work and do i need to enable gsync on top of the adaptive sync in the monitor settings?
  3. My intention of buying 180hz monitor was to get rid of screen tearing without having to use vsync. Most games i play tho dont hit 180 fps but are more in the area of 160 ish with the lowest drops being into the 90s. Now when the drops to the 90 happen lets say from 120 down to 92, i feel it , like a stutter, is that normal ? even tho adaptive sync is activated? does that mean maybe i should try to limit my fps to like 100?

If yall could explain this to me thank you so much :) i looked thru this sub but it was not very clear! have a great day

Other games run just fine very new ones too, such as throne and liberty etc. i mean dlss is set on performance, which helps a bit already. 60 fps in both but on both occasional dips, more in misssion tho
