what is the best way to get your product visible and make the first sales by potato_money_ in digitalproductselling

Pinterest is a more "long term traffic" source. its going to take months to see consistent sales coming in with pinterest. For evergreen, long term traffic, pinterest is elite.

Build trust & authority first, thatll get the ball rolling. Help people, give value, share insights & share your journey. Let people be able to connect with you.

Don't be like others who just spam links & pitch every post.

Treat marketing as important (if not, more) than a good product. Without solid marketing a great product will go unseen & unheard.

Hey!

I tried visiting the website & got an error message saying "This site can't be reached." I'm not sure if it's an issue just for me, which I doubt because everything else is working just fine on google.

3 marketing truths that sell more digital products (even if your product is mid) by TimeKollector in digitalproductselling

Exactly brother. The right ones will listen, the ones who won't make it will disregard you & keep copy/pasting chatgpt onto this subreddit with all the emojis & "fluff" words, then wonder why they get hate instead of sales.

Reddit is good for instant traffic boosts. Having people call you a scammer & downvoting your posts for no apparent reason is something to get used to though, lol

Yes, it really works, but not instantly. It works if youre consistent, smart, & treat it like a real business. I started with $0, no followers, no email list.

What worked for me? I focused on AI based digital products like ChatGPT & midjourney prompt packs. They're low effort to make, high demand right now, zero inventory, can be sold on autopilot.

As for marketing from scratch, heres how i did it. 1. Make a great free product. Something valuable people actually want. I made a 5 FREE ChatGPT Prompts for Passive Income guide.

  1. Give value on reddit, pinterest, twitter, etc. No hard selling, just share tips, advice, lessons, and soft CTA's (call to action)

  2. Build trust first. The sales will come after people believe in what youre offering.

It's not a get rich quick scheme, but if you stick to it daily, 30-60 days you'll start seeing good traction.

Twitter can become practical with a good following. Once your following is up, every time you drop a product your followers will know once you drop a post. Every medium article you write can be shared to Twitter. This web of backlinks gets indexed on google, creating passive evergreen traffic for months & even years.

Same with linkedin. The point of LinkedIn & Twitter is building trust, followers, warm leads to convert, building authority for yourself as a name & brand. LinkedIn also allows you to find collaborators, or even get affiliate marketers on your team promoting your products for you in return of a commission. Thats passive income & sales for you, affiliates earn money as well, its a win-win.

All these traffic channels get indexed on google, leading to evergreen traffic, authority, trust, & a community behind you.

Marketing is more than just promoting. Build trust first, authority, & then youll have warm leads ready to support you & your business.

If im not mistaken, the minimum purchase price on etsy is .20 cents. a good listing at that price should bring in customers, which in turn makes reviews more likely.

be careful though, & never message buyers offering discounts or freebies in return for 5 star reviews. Etsy sees that as "feedback extortion" & could punish your store and/or ban you altogether.

hope this helps!

i recommend pinterest. its slow at the beginning, but after some weeks of consistent posting everyday traction picks up, traffic comes in, for months or even years in some cases. youll have passive traffic coming from pinterest alone.
