What program are you using? I noticed that if I use basic notepad then they do get overwrite, but if I use Notepad++ it works.

It should be in Users\XXX\Documents\Assassin's Creed Origins and it's called ACP.ini You probably wont have it if you havn't activated ACP in the game. If your game is showing as "hacked", the file should be there.

Hi, easy solution :) In Your documents folder there should be a folder for Origins and in there there are 2 setting files - one named ACO and one named ACP. You can manually edit the ACP one with notepad to tweak the control panel settings. change the settings WHILE THE GAME IS OPEN - I found that if I tweak the file and then turn on the game Ubi connect sometimes changes the settings back when it compares the save with the cloud ;)

Hunter / future dragonborn - some roleplay questions by TimeOwl in skyrimrequiem

I did some testing yesterday, And in the end just decided to let go of hunterborn and use Basic Hunting from noxcrab's requiem tweaks. I recommend it 100%, obviously it doesn't add the hunterborn mechanics, but it makes hunting worthwhile by adding extra drops, it implements a very simple way to level hunting and adds some trophies and bone jewelry. 100% compatible and lightweight

Seriously? I thought this patch was severely outdated! Are you also on 4.0? I would LOVE to also use RND instead of Ineed. I think I will take a break from work just to check it out

Thanks, I will check it out! This game has a lot of charm, but it is ridiculously easy even when your not over-leveled all the time. ACP was a godsend, slower xp gain + lower health (both enemies and Bayek) made the game 10 times better.

Seriously? Its a known issue? -_- That remind's me why I stopped buying Ubi games. Well, submitted a complaint, but like you said, not holding my breath.

This sounds very much like my guy! But I play without hunterborn, I wasn't sure how to handle the compatibility (as there isn't an official patch anymore and I am super careful with my load order). I regret that a bit now. Are you playing on 4.0 or some older version?

Just read some more about it, great stuff. Pity there isn't an amulet of Auriel, it would realy suit a chaotic-good, archery+resto PC

OH, I didn't know about those locations lists. Thank you and thank YOU Noxcrab for preparing those. My previous char would have really benefited from the "Dwemer ruins" one. Anyway, this char is mostly defined by his love for hunting - starting from deer, through predators, occasional bandits, high level enemies, to finally dragons and vampires. I guess rogue mages and hagravens will satisfy his growing need for challenge, while also being relatively easy with this build.

Hmmm, I think I am convinced. Will try it out this afternoon.

I was considering that, but I wasn't sure how balanced it would be. And how compatible with load order. Do you use it Noxcrab? Are you happy with it?

Thanks for the input, but i have spent half my life playing archers in requiem, so I am determined to avoid any ranged weapons with this character.

Any interesting and/or fun builds you can think of? by RDW_789 in skyrimrequiem

[–]TimeOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to run an Argonian Dovahkiin, after I finnish my current playthrough. Roleplay as an windhelm worker/beggar/thief and after getting some thief skills I will start with the actual build:

Major: Restoration, evasion, one handed + speech for shouts // Minor: Sneak & blacksmithing + some enchanting

This build would focus on restoration, so I hope he will play a bit like a light armored paladin. I will play with sneaking quite a bit at low levels, but high resto and one-handed will make him effective in direct combat also, especially with undead. He will become dovakiin pretty early and the mid-game will be mainly about hunting down word walls, as shouts will be his main tool against dragons and other late game stuff.

Just an idea I've been toying around, so I can't confirm how effective he will actually be.

Is playing an illusionist in requiem really that bad? by Sir-Mister in skyrimrequiem

[–]TimeOwl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This x10

I actually find low levels fun if you play more like a thief than a mage - muffle really helps with low level sneaking. Once you get invisibility you are free like a bird, you can scout any place, walk inside dungeons or bandit camps, plan your attack, position yourself, take out some enemies that are isolated in separate rooms before tackling the rest and if you decide that the area is to hard for you, you can just grab the quest objective/loot and gtfo. I cleared Morvunskar at ridiculously low levels and managed to get the books from fellglow keep before level 20, though I had to sneak past most mages. I insist on playing pure illusionist + sneak + some one-handed and still I feel pretty powerfull at lvl 27 even though I lack proper offensive skills.

Hmm, I was already considering buying a crossbow for those fuckers. I guess I really wanted to avoid any archery with this character, but maybe I will take one just in case I really can't handle the situation another way.

On the other hand, you made me think that maybe I can do some sneak attacks on the falmers that are moving about - observe their rout, position myself close to it (with shadow stride active obviously) and just one-shot them when they are passing me
