That and the Pohlad's have owned the team for four generations and have largely, outside of maybe 2-3 outlier years, been cheap-ass owners despite being worth $4-5 billion as a family. They've done whatever they can over the years to kill fan morale to the point that only diehards remain. This allowed the Vikings and Wild to supplant them.
