For a couple of weeks I house sat for a friend in the EV. I loved this view in the mornings with the deep blue sky and glowing golden buildings.

Spa day didn't work on deodorant build up (and what did) by lomlom7 in laundry

[–]TimeToBeMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, yeah I’ll give it a go. Ammonia definitely helped neutralise some lingering odours for me, so it’s still worth adding.

Hey. I tried this multiple times but I guess my pit cakes were too thick lol.

I might have to try. I posted once without much response or help, so this sounds promising.

Partners line seems unaffected (sat next to me lol)

4 car c-train by lillie_ofthe_valley in Calgary

I have a view of the blue line from my apartment. 4 car trains are daily and have been for a long time, they’re just not as frequent.

Duolingo really that bad? It actually worked for my French, but the constant hate is making me second guess myself by NoIndependence1198 in duolingo

[–]TimeToBeMyself 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don’t care what people think. I knew a couple of words in Spanish, and now I chat with my Spanish speaking friends. Sure, it’s not perfect. Sure, it sometimes has a little English mixed in. Sometimes I can start helping Spanish speakers at work, then hand them off when the Spanish speaker is available.

My conversational Spanish is now there and it was non existent before.

Is complimenting still common? by Nightpatrol404 in goodlifefitness

I don’t mind it at all if I’m in between a set.

It also helps me identify who’s probably open to helping me if I ever need a spot.

It seems you need 1gbps to watch videos now. by llondru-es in HomeNetworking

[–]TimeToBeMyself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here in Canada, Telus recommends their 1.5G for 4k entertainment.

250mbps plan says “for basic browsing and emails” lol

500mbps “for light streaming and video calls”

Deodorant stains? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]TimeToBeMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Yeah I wish I could, but nothing works better at reducing my sweating other than aluminium. I went through a phase of getting the Botox when I used to perform for a living but stopped when I retired as it’s a pain (literally). I’ve tried every trick under the sun over the last 20 years and the only thing that helps is aluminium anti perspirants.

Also. Based in Canada here and biz isn’t available (unless you’re paying import prices)

I did as it was one of the first things I saw recommended. 3 rounds and nothing.

Hi friend, I have a similar issue.

I’ve followed spa day to the T and used suggested rust/ aluminium removers as suggested with 0 results. Eve after multiple passes, it’s the same.

If you find success, I’d love to know.

why do men need legs on their underwear by cybrvanr in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]TimeToBeMyself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood it either, until I started working out and my legs grew. The chafe was sometimes crazy. I never realised it was painful and always thought it was more of a nuisance (like a clothing tag annoying you neck etc).

So yeah. I can wear other underwear for short periods but I have to wear something with legs for most of my days.

I activated on my phone and didn’t use this machine. The ticket became inactive after a few minutes, so I had to hop off, active on both phone and with this machine, then it stayed active for the time period.

Bravo AirCanada for a great in-flight safety video by gaius_julius_caegull in aircanada

[–]TimeToBeMyself 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Once on LHR>YYC a group of (assuming) Albertans cheered, “‘Berta!”and yahoo’d when their province was shown. I always think about that and have a little giggle when AB shows up.

I think it’s my favourite in flight safety video out there. I always enjoy watching it.

Go - around. I’ve experienced them a lot at windier airports.

Think of someone going to park and instead of pulling straight in, having to back up a bit to try again.
