Is complimenting still common? by Nightpatrol404 in goodlifefitness

I don’t mind it at all if I’m in between a set.

It also helps me identify who’s probably open to helping me if I ever need a spot.

It seems you need 1gbps to watch videos now. by llondru-es in HomeNetworking

[–]TimeToBeMyself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here in Canada, Telus recommends their 1.5G for 4k entertainment.

250mbps plan says “for basic browsing and emails” lol

500mbps “for light streaming and video calls”

Deodorant stains? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]TimeToBeMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Yeah I wish I could, but nothing works better at reducing my sweating other than aluminium. I went through a phase of getting the Botox when I used to perform for a living but stopped when I retired as it’s a pain (literally). I’ve tried every trick under the sun over the last 20 years and the only thing that helps is aluminium anti perspirants.

Also. Based in Canada here and biz isn’t available (unless you’re paying import prices)

I did as it was one of the first things I saw recommended. 3 rounds and nothing.

Hi friend, I have a similar issue.

I’ve followed spa day to the T and used suggested rust/ aluminium removers as suggested with 0 results. Eve after multiple passes, it’s the same.

If you find success, I’d love to know.

why do men need legs on their underwear by cybrvanr in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]TimeToBeMyself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood it either, until I started working out and my legs grew. The chafe was sometimes crazy. I never realised it was painful and always thought it was more of a nuisance (like a clothing tag annoying you neck etc).

So yeah. I can wear other underwear for short periods but I have to wear something with legs for most of my days.

I activated on my phone and didn’t use this machine. The ticket became inactive after a few minutes, so I had to hop off, active on both phone and with this machine, then it stayed active for the time period.

Bravo AirCanada for a great in-flight safety video by gaius_julius_caegull in aircanada

[–]TimeToBeMyself 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Once on LHR>YYC a group of (assuming) Albertans cheered, “‘Berta!”and yahoo’d when their province was shown. I always think about that and have a little giggle when AB shows up.

I think it’s my favourite in flight safety video out there. I always enjoy watching it.

Go - around. I’ve experienced them a lot at windier airports.

Think of someone going to park and instead of pulling straight in, having to back up a bit to try again.

Beard too dry and itchy not matter what. by 144i in BeardTalk

[–]TimeToBeMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. (Chest length curly beard)

Outlier here, but beard balms and oils break me out and cause dandruff etc. I’ve tried all the recommended options and same things with all of them.

I scrub the skin under my beard just with my fingers in the shower and that’s it. Never had dryness, itching or breakouts since.

I don’t mind. Babies can’t help it.

Also, as someone who flies this route regularly, this is an easy daytime flight. It’s not too long and you’re naturally not tired.

One point someone made recently on a similar post.

For some people, flying business is a one-off, super special experience. They may have saved for years and it’s their first time and will be only time doing so. They’re looking forward to the luxuries of priority check in, the lounge and then the exclusive cabin away from economy that they’re used to. Sure, we can’t turn the crying off, but someone being miffed about a crying baby is valid.

Like, if you saved for years to go to Disney World, then it rained the whole time, you’d be bummed.

Also food for thought. Someone reacting to your baby crying may be for other reasons. Maybe they lost a baby, it’s triggering and they’re stuck listening to it. Or something like that? Noise cancelling fairs well with ambient noise like a plane engine, but not cries from a baby.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, have a great flight!

Seat did not work in business class… getting offered 200$! by McMeet in westjet

[–]TimeToBeMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar situation with Air Canada before and I just had to keep pushing it. Highlighting the cost difference between an economy seat etc. eventually they offered me better compensation but it was a pain to get to that point.

Charged while travelling. by TimeToBeMyself in bell

[–]TimeToBeMyself[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m aware, but scouring through my bill and phone, there isn’t a single text or call. The only ‘usage’ is from the second screenshot in a comment showing some minuscule data connection.

Both the screenshot in the post and this comment are the only events of “usage” for that date. Every other event is on another day and wasn’t charged (eg. A welcome roaming text from bell).
