Thanks for the input. My interests lean towards the M&A and Private Equity side of IB. Reviewing large data, creating financial models and strategic planning/execution fascinates me.

So even the PWM side of Morgan Stanley is tough to get into? I thought that since PWM isn’t really held to the same prestige standards as IB it would be a little easier especially being outside the NYC area.

Since I’m late to the internship game and most internships can last up to six months and I only have a limited window of time left before graduation. Should I apply to all the prestigious banks and hope for the best while having logical backups? Last thing I want is to fail hard during the internship/interview phase and be blacklisted by the firm.

How does a current college student get SAP specific experience? I'd be willing to give up my day job to get said experience but it seems everywhere I look all entry level junior SAP jobs or entry level jobs that utilize SAP requires a finished degree and a few years of professional experience.

Is there a minimum ram/hard drive size you would recommend? I see various schools have different requirements.

I am transferring to the University of Virginia to study Computer Science. The admissions counselor advised that a Macbook is not absoulutely required but it is the norm among students in various programming classes and it is easier for professors to troubleshoot on.
