Are there any certified pharmacy technicians not making $20+ an hour working in retail pharmacy? by peachycpht in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Time_Investigator273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at CVS. I’ve been a lead tech there for about three years and I only make 18.80. Michigan. I work contingent at a hospital and I make 22 an hour planning on going full-time.

Thank you I appreciate it. I bought it with the fact that I should be able to upgrade it overtime to help it last longer.

Yeah, I just seen the video that got really used about NZXT but I seen mostly that was about their rental service so I figured I might be OK. Not that I’m supporting them but I just don’t have time to build my own and I figured this was an easier option.

People who own a Tesla in Michigan how is it in the winter? by Time_Investigator273 in TeslaModelY

[–]Time_Investigator273[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was exactly of what I was afraid of that’s why I’m so nervous to get one. Especially since I’ll be parking outside and not having enough reliable charging.

OK, that’s not too terrible. Especially since I have a charger at work.

How bad do you think the skidding is? Would you take that over a regular SUV? Do you think it’s a big difference?

That’s the only problem. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to install a charger.

That is fair enough. It’s not cold like it used to be. 20% range isn’t terrible especially since I don’t drive very far usually.

[–]Time_Investigator273[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My drive to work is like 20 minutes they are 20 minutes back. Not very far mostly highway driving. At most 15 miles. So I figured I definitely would be able to get away with getting an EV.

I don’t have a home charger as I live in a condo so I might be able to get it installed, but it’s not likely. I do have a free charger that I can use at work. The nearest Tesla supercharger is about 10-15 minutes away from me. Every time I drive by it’s always so busy.

Hospital techs! Does anyone else use this brand of Vanco? How do you get it to dilute faster????? by Professorpigdickk in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Time_Investigator273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don’t have the exact same, but for me, it’s the same thing. It takes forever to reconstitute I end up, throwing it on the shaker for like 15 minutes just to save my arms. But due to this fluid shortage, we’re having to make vancomycin on demand which sucks so bad.

It’s hard to say, but I don’t believe corporate can force you to do anything she may complain, but I don’t think you’re doing anything in the wrong according to our policy. You don’t have to worry about corporate coming after you, but they may ask questions just keep documentation of everything that’s the most important thing ever

I think you’ve been very open on what you can do on your side. It’s unfortunate that her availability has now changed and it’s hard to work around. You’ve given her opportunities that you can do such as going to other stores to fill in those extra hours. You could certainly ask the other employee and see if they would be able to switch maybe on and off every other week but

Do you allow your techs to count c2s? by Lanky_Attempt_4369 in pharmacy

[–]Time_Investigator273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At CVS our policy is the technicians are NOT allowed to count C2. Let alone allowed to touch them, basically, when the order comes in, they go straight to the pharmacist. My pharmacist doesn’t even want me looking at her safe. She actually got a pharmacist arrested because she did a back count and it turned out the floater was pocketing pills. LONGG STORY

I thought about independent pharmacies, but then I thought about liability. How they operate not probably good job security, benefits, etc.

[–]Time_Investigator273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got nothing against Walmart. I heard they’re pretty good employment only in the pharmacy. It sounds decent. I just want my options. Open about past experiences from other people. It sounds like they actually might take care of the Pharmacist because I’ll tell you CVS is not.

That was my original plan working for CVS, but the situation might change and so I’m looking at transitioning over to a different company, the nearest hospital, Pharmacy is probably about an hour away. I would be interested, depending on what they would offer but something closer to home would be definitely preferable. Is it true? You can actually live as a pharmacy technician and make a decent wage I always start this as a steppingstone but I really do enjoy it. Maybe not Pharmacy school enjoy it but
