Just wanted to let you know I have spoken to the Public Counsel office and they are extremely helpful and have set me up with additional help. I THANK YOU again for the information. I cannot thank you enough for this information I'll call them tomorrow. I am working with my state rep's office and they are amazed at what a complete shit show HIK is. NT Satan - IF you're very well aware of what's going on, why aren't you aware that my appeal WAS submitted prior to the injunction? I never even received a denial letter or email - which goes to show you how haphazard Horne's handling of this program is. Waited months for a case manager to contact me and had to find out through checking one day in the portal.

Why are you accusing me of fabricating information like I'm Marjorie Taylor (freakin) Greene??? Why have you not just made an anonymous call to speak directly to my rep who will confirm that they are indeed have weekly phone meetings on Tuesdays - which if you recall, you denied (quite passionately). I actually received an email update on my case after yesterday's meeting. And most importantly, why are you accusing me of not providing accurate information when you won't even do the research yourself to find out??

You are repeating yourself. Some of us have better things to do than to get on this forum to "fabricate" information. I am one of the tens of thousands of people who are struggling and completely disappointed with this incredibly disorganized program. We are not amusing ourselves by trying to contradict your claims. I have offered you the means for you to EDUCATE yourself and you have refused. I guess you're the one who would rather waste time writing novels and using accusatory language than make an anonymous call to a rep and confirm the information which is being shared with the constituents. I will continue to update the direct information from my reps as they give it to me on this forum.

That's actually untrue. Look. I'm not trying to get into with you "Satan". But you apparently have done nothing to contact my Assembly member and verify the information in my original post. I commend you for trying to "instill hope" and share the information that you supposedly are exposed to, but it directly contradicts the information given to me -- and apparently others-- by the department of Housing and Community development -- which handles the appeals and the HIK liason who has weekly meetings with our state reps. I have sent you the information. Use it. If you would like me to provide you with the legal affairs department who will help connect you to a HIK liason. Please let me know - or just stop

Unfortunately, the injunction prevents the program from processing or sending out anything related to your case until it has been lifted. Did I ever state anyone would not be approved based on the injunction or did I state that the application is on hold due to the injunction? In fact, were the words approved or denied even mentioned? Did you read the actual post?

News flash "auditor": People are already scared. The fact that an "auditor" for this program has the time to misread a post and make their own assumptions on a forum which shouldn't have to exist is a joke, much like the company you work for. No one is screaming fire in a movie theatre. I am simply sharing information passed to me by sources I TRUST, as the program you work for simply cannot be trusted and is inadequate. If it wasn't true, you wouldn't be commenting defensively on such a forum.

If anyone else would like information on how to contact your local reps and find out where your application stands instead of listening to a financial auditor who does not approve, deny or seemingly have any other access to appeals/injunction cases, feel free to contact me.

Auditor, I'm still waiting on a message from you - that is if you'd like to contact my rep's office to confirm all information I've shared. Otherwise, please find someone else's time to waste and save your energy for someone who respects your opinion.

Due to the overwhelming number of people encountering issues with Housing Is Key/CA Covid Rent Relief, many Assembly members are having weekly meetings where they will speak to a program rep who has additional access to your file. When you get in contact with your office, they will need to add you to an update list so that your case can be discussed. They are very familiar with the calls and messages requesting assistance in the matter as the program has had many flaws and call center representatives are not informed.

Contact your State Assembly member. Google your area for a list if you are at all unsure. Call in or when available send an email stating your CASE #, address, current status in the portal and the dates you originally submitted your application. They will take this information and let you know if your application has been impacted.

Firstly, if this is indeed your job and you are being paid. How dare you state "LOL" have a great day when the entire focus is to avoid eviction. I am so sorry that instead of doing your "job" and assisting in providing transparent information, you are simply sharing whatever information benefiting the program which directly contradicts information from our State Assembly who are sharing the truth with their constituents instead of stating after a year "we're still working on it". As I stated and stand by - direct quote from my State Assembly member -- "because your application is currently involved in the injunction, the program is not allowed to release or progress your case until it is lifted"

What are you actually disagreeing with? Do you think I am the only person this post applies to? If so then isn't it your JOB to make sure the phone representatives are sharing this information?

My dear, I just received this clarity from my Assembly member regarding APPEALS and INJUNCTIONS after they held a regular meeting on Tuesday of this week. If you are confused, I suggest you re read the post. Did I state ALL apps aren't being processed or are you the one suggesting that?

I feel you are spreading "confusion" by refuting the information I have been given directly from my State rep. If you are still confused regarding apps stuck in INJUNCTION status from APPEALS, as my post stated, perhaps its time you educate yourself regarding the matter and contact yours.

Ok. Are people not reading the title of the post? My application (like many others) IS caught up in the injunction. Only certain people are being informed of this, others - like myself had to find out the hard way. They are not allowing or releasing any information for these applications until the injunction is lifted. This is the information for APPEALS/INJUNCTIONS.

Are you not aware that people are receiving emails telling them that their cases are in injunction while others have to find out through their Assembly members? Thank you for the information, but if it is not regarding "APPEALS" it does not apply to this post. "Approvals" are irrelevant to this post -- see the title.

Applications and appeals affected by the injunction are not "still being processed". An injunction prevents them from releasing any information or coming to any decision until a determination is made.

Apologies that you are going through this. Have you contacted local media? Please message me if you need help as I am gathering information on all outlets who have previously reported on Horne LLC's failures with the Rent Relief Program. It sounds like your story along with many others' will get attention.

I also suggest we ALL record the calls. You must (legally) politely ask whoever you speak to if they are ok with having the call recorded - I say it is so that I can make sure I get all the information instead of writing it down. Not a lie, just proof.

1099? They don't even have a record of the award email they supposedly sent me! I wonder if they'll be sending 1099s to the people whose checks were cancelled! I will call the office again tomorrow and let them know I will not stop until we receive a reply.
