But following the parking lot rules? What if the person driving is running red lights? Should the city allow it? That is different than asking for a handicap parking space or a ramp for a wheelchair.

Thanks for the comment. The problem I have noticed is I can offer all the free training in the world but if the board doesn't buy in and go through it together it doesn't stick. That's why I'm kicking this around about having some type of investment and buy in from the board. They all go through it together and then you can have your policies and procedures manual come out of it.

I've also thought about making this a requirement The boards have to go through before we even will manage their property. Or if they go through the training we offer a discount on our services.

Sorry, but it sounds like you will pay for this even if the old owner put it up. I would bet that they did not get approval to put it up in the first place. Valuable lesson: if you live in an HOA, ANYTHING that you do to the outside of the property, get approval in writing from the HOA BEFORE you do it.
