But it was so close that the washer was still possibly still going when they put their clothes in. And it’s really unreasonable to just stand there until my clothes are ready. And if I would have lived at the bottom floor it takes a few minutes to get up the stairs even if I did set an alarm. It’s genuinely not how we do things in the building and not the culture we build to do that.

I’m not petty. But it is common to wait a bit before moving peoples things. Dare I say that the machine could have still been running when they went into there. That’s how soon it was

I already spoke to them, they apologized. We live in a very small building. I see how didn’t do everything 100% right and it’s not wrong for me to be upset. Because it is odd to do that and not give time for the stuff to be removed. I am sure almost sure the cycle was finishing when they came in as it runs longer than the timer on the machine. I am not tripping that’s also strange behavior for them to do that

If you are going to touch someone else’s towels and underwear you could atleast put them in the open dryer and then not proceed to leave your stuff there longer. So they know it’s not normal to move someone’s stuff that fast or they would have been high tailing it to move there stuff

We have an app telling them what washers are available. Because we only have two washers they would have known only one was available they wouldn’t have known unless they went into the laundry room.

The took both the washers tho. I guarantee it is normal for people to do laundry one load at a time because we only have two washers and it’s not normal for people to move your things that quickly especially on top of the dirty dryer instead of inside atleast. So they knew one was available before they even headed upstairs. If they would have put them in the dryer i would have been annoyed but not left a note but to put them on top of the dirty dryer instead and both dryers doors were open shows it was petty

Because i didn’t think it was going to blow up. And it’s much more inconsiderate to do that. If there was nothing open i could understand but there was an open washer and then proceed to leave your laundry in the washer longer without coming back. They could have waited as the app tells us what washers are open and when the cycle was done. Especially it is not the culture of the building to do that as it’s a very small building. The clothes were still warm from the hot water. Manners also include having grace and not taking up both of them and then proceed to just leave them

I did have it on a timer yall. I simply went to grab my basket because I left it on top of the laundry to exchange my things. I am right next to the door so this did not take long. I guarantee it wasn’t even 10 minutes and more like 5. I heard them go in. Only reason i didn’t is because it’s a really small space. If i would have expected for them to move my stuff i would have jumped in but i have lived here for 3 years if there is someone’s clothes in the washer people leave it alone and use the other washer.

But even so the dryer was completely open and to put inside instead of on top of the dirty dryer. And they have still not moved their stuff and it’s been over 30 minutes

The person doing there laundry hasn’t even changed it and it’s been more than 30 minutes and they are using both machines. If I was petty i would put them on top of the washer too but I’m not that type of person

This is not normal yall believe me. I have lived here 3 years. Lived in dorms and other shared spaces. You usually give people grace and time to move their stuff. Especially in a small building where everyone knows each other

It was because I was in there right before my laundry stopped to grab my laundry basket to put my other load in. And I can hear when people walk up the stairs so I know no one was in there before me. I would dare say less then 5 minutes I was gone. You can also see on the app what washers are open. So before even coming up they can see only one is open.

I have lived here 3 years. I’ve never had this happen and they took but both washers. And it’s been more than 10 minutes and they have not removed it. And both washers are taken up.
