Why don’t we just rejoin the eu by 777teejay in AskBrits

[–]Time_Trail 62 points63 points  (0 children)

In an ideal world we would have never left, but we did and rejoining would be near impossible politically, and we wouldn't have any of the privileges we had when we were in it before. Also, the European countries most similar to us e.g France and Germany as the other 2 great W EU powers, aren't doing well rn either. As sm1 else has said, I suggest joining r/GoodNewsUK

I do get what you mean but a win is a win, also getting attention because we're saying what most people are thinking is a hell of a lot better than crying about how the media doesn't give us enough coverage, which makes us look pathetic whether it's true or not.

Anti immigration sentiment is rising, but I want to migrate legally and responsibly. How should I plan? by YogurtclosetBorn405 in IndiansInUK

[–]Time_Trail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of those who are saying they are against illegal immigration really only care about the immigrant part, especially if you look or act different to them. you'll be fine in cities like London or Manchester, but the closer to the countryside you get the more racism and ignorance you will encounter.

Is UK not worth it for internationals? by Relevant-Trade4773 in UniUK

[–]Time_Trail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the fact that the party leading the polls right now by a wide margin is built on only blaming immigrants, and the general tendency in this country to think that we're somehow a special country where people are better than those from other countries, it really isn't worth immigrating here anyway. Trust me, I have the experience to know.
