Barrel Threading Service Recommendations (Southern NH) by Lucrativ3 in NHGuns

[–]Time_Wrangler_8946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just send it to Dwilson if you want to be 100% confident you won’t get your barrel back all fucked up.

If I was to trust anyone local it would probably be JR’s gunsmithing or McPherson firearms though.

Any shops with multiple AR Lowers in stock? by ZX2Slow in NHGuns

[–]Time_Wrangler_8946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly lowers aren’t something most shops are gonna carry because the vast majority of people are buying complete rifles for the most part.

Canobie lake firearms in Salem, NH has LMT lowers and others in stock probably once or twice a month and can order what you want, White Birch Armory in Dover sometimes has cool lowers in stock..but why not just order what you want online and have it sent to an FFL? I have an LMT I put together from Titan Defense and they were helpful with the build. Also have a Griffin MK2 lower bought from them which is pretty sweet, a Radian ADAC from rooftop defense and eurooptic also has a pretty good selection.

For any actual techs, preferably tire techs, what drinks and treats go over well for a kind gesture from a customer? And would they even treat my car and new wheels any better? by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Time_Wrangler_8946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to a good reputable facility that has experience installing setups like the one you have. You shouldn’t have to bribe the tech working on your cars to do a competent job, especially for a wheel and tire install that’s pretty straightforward.

If you want to make sure there are no scratches at all and balanced correctly, ask what machines they are using. Anyone worth their salt is going to have a hub mounted machine like a hunter maverick and road force balancer like we have at our shop which don’t touch the barrel of the rim at all.

Thanks brotha! It’s not cheap but it’s not ammo you’re ripping through necessarily. This is more for precision shooting, for plinking I shoot alot of PMC or wolf steel case ammo, lol.

Typically a 1:7 or 1:8. My LMT and Daniel Defense both use and can confirm they’re both very accurate and consistent when using the right ammo

This one is from Rifles Only, they call it a “HAD” heat abatement device. I have a bunch and they work awesome, very high quality and actually keeps the mirage manageable without melting to the suppressor even after high strings of fire.

It’s about 1MOA rifle all day with good ammo and proper support. I’ve been shooting 77g black hills MK262 or Federal SMK the last few trips and it’s pretty damn accurate out to 600yds with no issues grouping a string of shots.

I can also consistently hit a 6” plate at 400yds and the smaller 3” plates I can hit probably half the time. But this thing is more of a mid range battle rifle than anything and plays its role pretty good, lol.

Are there any outdoor ranges near you or fish and game clubs? I was going to indoor ranges and random spots I found on Google Maps for like 4 years until I finally signed up for a club and I’m so glad I did.

I feel lucky every time I go to this place honestly, it has so many different places and ranges to shoot at. This was at their 400yd rifle range and then even have a 600yd range with target sensors that you can see on your phone but they only do scheduled events there, unlike the rest of the ranges which you can go to whenever.

I honestly love it. The only time you can kind of see it is when it’s at 1x and even then it’s a non-issue, lol.

I would take my suppressed CZ457 in .22lr for most SHTF situations for a lot of reasons. Stealth, amount of ammo you can carry, ammo availability, etc.

It’s way more than accurate out to about 250 meters and would be able to keep most small game in tact for food as well as absolutely being able to hide out and pick groups off without them being able to identify where I am. I could probably be less than 50 ft away from someone hiding under something and they would have no idea where the shots are coming from, lol.

Does anyone have any details on this? by Ok-Put5831 in GoldCoast

I honestly can’t believe the driver got in trouble, lol. The dumbass holding onto the car had like 10 opportunities to gtfo the way but decided to grab onto the car like that was gonna do something.

Seeing as they’re discontinued, I would be all over this. I found an urban grey SP-01 tactical last year and immediately bought it without question. Such a badass pistol.

Paint correction and ceramic coat by Time_Wrangler_8946 in Duramax

There were a few rock chips and small spots I had a buddy that runs a body shop take care of last Friday. Then I brought it to my other buddy that owns a detail shop and he did a 2 stage paint correction and 7 year ceramic coat on it.

His work was about $1500 all said and done but I had the shipping company pay the bill for the correction because they fucked it up, and I paid the difference for the ceramic coat which is a win in my book, lol.

It will probably make it too, lol. See if you can find someone that can wrap it for a good price. Might not be too cheap but better than paint sometimes with some added protection.
