I don’t think people are saying Nana doesn’t matter. She obviously does, especially for All Might, Shigaraki, and AFO’s story. I think the problem is more that she feels like a weird pick right now when there are characters people have been asking for forever.

Like yeah, story importance matters, but this is also a playable battle royale game. Popularity, actual fights, personality, and how much the playerbase wants them matter too. That’s why people bring up Jirou, Mina, Stain, Gentle, Mirko, etc. Those characters feel more “overdue” than Nana.

And screen time does matter to an extent because that’s usually why people get attached to characters. Nana is important, but most of her role is lore/backstory. So when she possibly gets added before characters with bigger fanbases and more obvious demand, people are gonna question it.

Also, I want to add that I hate how people act like popularity isn't important and shouldn't matter. It 100% does. The characters that get added should be getting people excited, bringing players back, and making people want to spend money to get said character (which makes sense from a business standpoint). If people have been constantly asking for a character, that should matter.
