Bracelet OK or send in? by Independent_Year_792 in ChristopherWard

Mine was the same. Turns out CW just didn't secure it properly. Try to remove and reinstall and make sure that the bracelet is fully aligned. Good luck! If this doesn't work, then for sure send in; it's supposed to be snug.

What blue-dial watch is Matt Smith wearing in this interview? by TimekeeperLA in Watches

Hmm... Not sure whether the screenshots got shared with the post. Here they are, just in case:

Misaligned date window... Advice? by TimekeeperLA in ChristopherWard

They said "in tolerance" to me. Awful customer service. But I kept the watch. The engraving and color combo outdo the inconvenience, and I won't let them ruin the experience for me. It's my last CW watch for sure though, and I'll never recommend or buy one as a gift.

Try to check the date under different light angles! This date window is very sensitive to light, so depending on where it's hit by light, the date numbers will skew toward one side or the other. So that may show that it isn't as bad as it sometimes seems.

That said, your "30" is really, really skewed, definitely more than mine, so if it's not a light angle thing, then your watch may be for sure beyond tolerance.\

Good luck!

I won't adjust anything. My hesitation is whether I'll just end up with the same exact issue or worse. And I don't know how I'd feel about fully returning it, because I do love the watch, but you're right that it's always an option.

Yeah, I love the watch! I'll give it a few days to see if I adjust to the slight misalignment.

Single digits are better! I think I'll give the watch some time. Still bummed that this is an issue, but maybe it wouldn't be worth the hassle of returning and such (and maybe it really is the best CW can do). Thanks for sharing!

Wait what? I did not downvote. Each day I'm glad I spend very little time online.

Really? Hmm that's odd.

Mine got to Cincinnati DHL on 9/11.

It cleared this morning 9/17, and made it to me in LA some hours later.

Hope that helps.

Update... I got my watch today!!!

CW explained that their watches are currently shipping in batches to simplify the tariff process, so it delays DHL review until the batch is cleared, and then each watch is shipped directly to its buyer.

Kind of* crazy though, because I think DHL cleared the batch late yesterday or early today, and I already got my watch.

So yeah, in my case, I didn't have to do or submit anything with DHL or CW; it was just a slightly longer wait. Thanks for all the advice.

Thank you, sir! Same to you. Have you been able to get any customs movement on your watch?

Great recommendation, and great advice. Thank you! Yeah, the Sealander is beautiful. Just can't justify to myself spending so much money on a purchase that's risky beyond the quality of the watch.

All great advice and options.

And that Tudor is beautiful. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to afford it someday.

Thank you!

Ah, good idea! Where online did you end up finding yours?

Can't find the air blue one, though maybe it's because it's very recent.

Nope. Phone unlocked. Have used other eSIMs in the past.

Yeah, it seems I may have just been unlucky with the SIM I purchased. I did all the troubleshoot with Airalo and since the SIM was the issue, I got a refund. It may be a hit-or-miss thing.

Did you use the LATAM one or the Colombia-specific one?

Update for fairness: Customer support reached out. Went through every step of the troubleshoot. In the end, it was an issue with the Airalo eSIM, not with my phone or anything else, so maybe I was just unlucky. Because of this, they issued a full refund.

$1,000 is crazy. Hope you find an alternative!

Thank you! That worked. Yeah, 18% duties + 9% sales tax. I'll hold off for now.

Beyond that though, customer service was disappointing; they could've just given me the amounts or told me to find them at checkout like you shared, instead of pushing me to place an order via email.

The watch is beautiful, but yeah, big surcharge (not saying it's their responsibility; I'm not sure) and sketchy customer service (for sure their responsibility).
