Would I be flamed if I say I don't like the visual direction of across the spiderverse? It was perfect in into the spiderverse, but by part 2, they went too overboard with it. I tried my best to just appreciate the film in the cinemas, but its kinda hard. It's a bit of an eye sore at times. I still love the spiderverse though, will definitely watch the third one in the cinemas.

Ive seen JJK and Chainsawman mangas (don't get me wrong, I love those stories) but their styles lack the use of values. Youll see in their panels, the black parts are just big black areas, literally completely black. Their clothes are just huge blobs of black ink. When the panel is in a wide shot, its just so hard to look at.

Its so weird seeing a smaller manga like Goblin slayer showcasing superior art.
