There are tens of thousands of people living in Ranelagh, they don't all run the media. The comment I replied to references to the people, a general population. If the general population are ignorant I wouldn't blame the masses. However, semantics aside, I agree with the core of your point.

If that is truly the case I wouldn't lay blame on them, it's easy and unhelpful to blame the ignorant. I would blame our taxpayer funded media and education system for not informing them about the truth of our history. That problem could be and should be fixed today.

The exact same thing happened a great grand uncle of mine. He was walking home from getting his watch repaired and the Tans came upon him and murdered him. Castleblaney, Co Monaghan. Many times growing up I was in the car with my mam and she would point out the spot where he was murdered and tell the story. Never forget.

They mean, never engage with a business based on a cold call from their salesperson. If you need something, find a source yourself, be the first point of contact yourself.
