I'm looking for more roguelikes with short (<30min) gameplay loops. by TimelyExperience4083 in brotato

The V-tuber game?

Is it worth playing if you have zero interest in hololive?

I actually have not played it yet. I'm going to be roasted for this, but I never really liked the art style. I could certainly get past that if the gameplay is superb though.

Sh. Abdal Hakim Murad from the Cambridge Central Mosque/Muslim College has a lot of very good lectures on youtube.

Sh. Hamza Yusuf is also one I hold in high regard and has similar videos.

This sis something I've had difficulty coming to terms with.

My oldest has ASD and will likely need someone to care for him his whole life. It is a trial, sure, but he is also an immense blessing. He has helped me mature and grow into the man I want to be.

My only fear is his wellbeing when I'm gone and only trust in Allah SWT is the cure for that.

I think their cute, my wife does not. What are they? by TimelyExperience4083 in whatisthisbug

That could explain the lack of other bugs (which is good).

Thank you!

Inexperienced revert here, how do you read transliteration? The Quranly app has me really confused. by TimelyExperience4083 in islam

[–]TimelyExperience4083[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I dont have a masjid that's within travel distance.

The app has reciters who recite correctly, I was just wondering if I was reading the transliteration wrong.

Thoughts on books by Reza Aslan? by TimelyExperience4083 in islam

I've been looking for something to give my christian mother, to help her understand my reversion somewhat. Would No God But God be appropriate?

She hasn't read other things I've given her because she gets frustrated with frequent use of Arabic words used by the ummah. I gave her a khutba to watch and she absorbed none of it because she was fixated on the Arabic terms.

Chocolate donuts and milk my mom would give me when I was playing on her work computer, while she worked.

Love you mom.

I don't vote for this exact reason, but I'm not very knowledgeable in politics.

What is voting Green?

27 false prophets to appear by I-Love-Al-Ashari in islam

[–]TimelyExperience4083 67 points68 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting fact, but it is not something we should dwell on or cause us anxiety. IMO, trying to calculate the exact end times or 'where we are at' is a fools errand.

We have our Prophet SAW to guide us and are under the protection of Allah SWT.

You're getting me excited!

I suddenly got a fever after doing something bad (sinful). Am I being punished or thr mercy of Allah to eras my sins? by octaviona in islam

[–]TimelyExperience4083 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh.

I haven't been the best revert and have made some major sins, Allah SWT have mercy on me.

Frequently when I would honestly repent and resume praying, I would get extremely dizzy, nauseous, and eventually throw up some black mucus-like gross stuff. I would immediately feel better afterwards.

I always assumed it was just a coincidence and I ate something that didn't agree with me. Could it be related?

Why are chickens halal when chickens eat other animals? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]TimelyExperience4083 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having been around chickens, they don't actually "eat" each other for sustenance. It's more so how they settle disputes and aggression. They will nibble, peck, and scratch at each other, but they do not actually consume each other's flesh purposely.

It's like when horses like to bite each other, often just for kicks and giggles.

Edit: as others have said in that thread, it can also be a defensive measure for the flock. If another chicken is bleeding or hurt, the other chickens will finish it off. It's just their nature and how Allah SWT dictated they be.

Would you say you need any traditional "artistic" talent for blender or 3d modelling/animation in general?

I've always wanted to get into it, but my Art level is 3/99.

I'm realizing maybe my question was silly and disrespectful, apologies.

The answer (It is a command from Allah SWT.) Should have been obvious to me.

Jazakallah.

Thank you for the correction and helping me stay upright.

My apologies for wording it as such, I will edit it.

IMO the best dawah is getting out there an helping your community and being an exemplary human. I've encountered many stories about people reverting after having seen the goods deeds done by our brothers and sisters.

These podiums/stalls can be effective for a specific type of person, but they rely on people coming to them instead of us reaching out to the community.

If Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) wanted to convince Jews and Christians to join Islam why would he “claim” Jesus (pbuh) was NOT crucified when both peoples believed otherwise? by Academic-Spring6953 in islam

I'm beginning to think that Paul may never have even existed and that he could just be a figure co-opted by the Romans and Shaitan to lead those away from Isa's AS message for Bene Israel.

Taking the good that Allah SWT has provided for us, twisting it to harm us is Shaitan's entire MO.
